How I Make Money from Justin Bieber

Tried this with fb ads and ogads. First problem already, clicks on fb ads do not match clicks on ogads, while fb ads says 4 link clicks, ogads only shows 2 impressions. So either fb charges for not existing clicks or ogads is shaving.
Second, CTR to website is more than lousy, less than 1 %.
So I do not see how this could ever work with the ORIGINAL method. If you add friends from Seattle, these are not necessarily JB fans. Just random people. My tareting group are actually FANS of him and in right age group. And I give the tickets for FREE (they can win).
So you have just RANDOM people in random age classes, and they have to PAY and still such high conversion rate? Looks undoable.

I know you are inviting them to the event (concert) and so they become targeted, but you have 5000 people and maybe 1000 will come to the event, while I have a target group of several million people in total and now reached already about 20.000. So if they are not interested in even trying to get a ticket for free, how would they be interested in paying the full price. CTR of less than 1 % shows clearly, that they are not even willing to check out the website to see why the tickets could be free.

Strange, I was running some Facebook ads last week and I had the opposite issue. Facebook showed 36 clicks and my affiliate report showed over 100. I'm willing to bet most of the extra clicks were scrapers or something because the response rate to the offer was very low.

I'd be curious what your results would be if you actually advertised the tickets at full price instead of free.

You were also using ogads? Hmm strange, ogads still shows less clicks than fb, and there is also 0 conversion from those clicks, nobody did the survey to win the ticket.

Hmmm, well if there is no conversion for free tickets, then how would there be any conversion for full price? If people are not willing to do a free 5 minute survey or download some app or nonsense in order to get a free ticket, how would they ever pay full price?

Update: Signed up for a different ticket network now, did NOT have to pay $5 and get HIGHER payout (12.5%) ^^

It actually wasn't OGads, it was through Commission Junction. A non-ticket related offer, in this case. I have a few ideas of how to use FB ads to sell tickets, so I'm going to try it out with a small testing budget and see how it goes.

Because people hate surveys. And also they know that concert tickets cost money. When I was a teenager (and had no idea about marketing at all), I used to go to a lot of concerts - if someone from some random site (not from the official site) would tell me to win a free ticket, I wouldn't believe it. I still did buy the tickets though every time and sometimes for higher prices in the black market, because the official ones were 100% booked.

I'm not saying the idea/concept of free tickets doesn't work at all, because there are a lot of dumb people out there, so maybe your campaign wasn't top notch - maybe your ad copy or landing page sucked. Or maybe you don't have enough data yet. PPC is a bitch and requires extensive optimization, you know that. Bottom line is, people DO BUY tickets, otherwise the concerts would be empty lol.. You just need to target more accurately your audience!

Hey...

Anyone who know how to google, can find a working invitation code for AW in some seconds.. talking first page result here.
Maybe IM is not for you, if you can't find that code.

And yes it works, I used it already for two accounts.

I have tried a couple things with this. I did clicks to website so I could cloak my affiliate. I advertised a band which I know their nichy interests and got a VERY targetted group of people in the area of the concert. This ad has done the best with 12 clicks to website with only 100 people reached. Still no sales which is frustrating because the tickets are as low as 23 dollars. I spent 20 dollars over the course of 2 days and it has been about 6 hours since the ad launched.

I also tried a Bieber ad and I see how much it makes a difference with click-throughs in targetting your audience. With 600+ people reached only 10 have clicked to my link. I also tried post engagement and that has also produced similar click results. Feel like I'm just giving facebook my money, but I am still learning a lot in this process.

Well, opf course people buy concert tickets, but if I get a choice between buying and getting for free/winning, I would first try to win, especially if it dies not cost me anything, just a couple of minutes for doing a survey. Then if I won, I saved a lot of money. If I did not win I still can buy it.

Well, I did only direct linking, because I did not have time yesterday for designing a landing page. About ad copy, CPC was only $0.05 and CTR (PE) was about 4%, so not that bad. CTR to website was below 1% however. There are much things that can be improved, like adding own landing page and maybe targeting only city with next upcoming concert and stating in ad copy to win tickets for city XYZ.

I am awaiting approval to the ticket network now and will then try to promote paid tickets. Target audience, well, targeting female 18-25 with interest JB .... not sure what else to target.

Not all people have that mentality. Some prefer to shell out their credit card, buy the ticket and be done with it. I can't give you any tips in PPC, because I only know "theory", but a LP is a must in any campaign and I would bet it's a must in PPC as well, so take the time and design a custom one that converts or buy it in the marketplace. Regarding targeting, you could first scrape a very targeted list of members who are interested in the artist/concert and then market only to those. I'm not sure though whether that is possible anymore in Facebook (I think it was at some point).

FBads allows that sort of CPA (ogads win justin bieber tickets landing page)? Holy shit I never knew.

It's nice idea, I am waiting for your result report. Best
