How to grow a Soundcloud account?

Well everything, hence growth. Followers increase my plays and likes and reposts, so followers

You might be better off buying beats and sniping categories so you can build those up and later make a song usable with mentions of a URL inside so you can safely promote.

Something like raps or beats to better instill viewers on a mass scale after you initiate some aggressive activity.

Hmm alright I'll see how that works out. I have 8 songs already and post once a week or more (for example this week I'll be doing two) and am active on my account. Should I start out manually following and unfollowing and commenting and liking?

Cross social media marketing. Post a status, Tweet about it, Snapchat you making music, Instagram pictures of you working hard. Everything will grow, not just SoundCloud. Focusing on just one, when everything can be linked and grown with the help of the others, is needlessly cumbersome. Play the social media magic, and watch it explode.

From experience, one of the best ways to grow your soundcloud is a mixture of those tactics. First, get some sites like youlikehits or some other sites to boost your plays and followers to around 500+ plays and 100+ followers, this will show the real people when they arrive that you are somewhat known.
Then, you should look around for accounts similar to yours with around the same number of followers and follow them or message them, maybe even asking them for feedback on your track or even a collab. You should also submit your music to some promotion channels on soundcloud like DSCVR Sounds or other channels because they have an established fan base and will help you a lot.
All this combined will help you grow fairly quickly.
