Street food is cheap, any decent restaurant is expensive. Supermarkets are way more expensive than the UK.

Been to Singapore 3 times myself and I would never ever recommend someone moving there unless they had a very solid job prospect and rental in place.

And yeah it can get insanely humid to the point of being miserable. At times you can't even go for a walk without sweating buckets. Something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to the elements

Singapore! Definitely one of the coolest place on earth.
Just keep in mind that the standard of living is high, cost of living is high aswell. And in this, ofcourse, is the average wage also higher so it's gonna even out.
It's sort of hard to compete there on jobs unless you are really good.

You really won't regret it if you move there. But just make sure you sign a job contract before the residence permit.

Love Singapore as a holiday destination..

It's a cleaner more modern version of Bangkok but you can still eat cheaply if you go to the street food stalls

I go to Singapore every 60 days for a Visa run from Thailand. (Don't ask why... I think i just like a taste of the 1st wold every few months) But i stay for 1-3 days each time and i Can assure you that the cost of general everyday living is at least 1.5x more expensive than the neighboring countries. the 1.5x I'm pulling from Bangkok... on of the more expensive cities in that geographical location.
