The Shopify + Facebook Method FAQ - All Questions Here Please.

Okay ...so I did a bit of look-see and turns out that the link to my domain in my fb advert redirects the visitors to a shopify page which is password protected. So, if I type out the store name, it goes to the correct page, however if I click on the link to my store, it appends h t t p to my store name which is a password protected page. Is anyone else facing this problem. Any solution to this is much appreciated.

You're doing things way too quick, you need to slow down and do this correctly or you're just going to burn through money. Read all of the journey threads and Fraklins initial thread.

First thing, your site is still password protected. You would know this if you would have read through all the threads, it is a common mistake.

Second, 18 hours is not near enough time to gauge how well your item is going to sell or if the ad is going to work. You need to spend at least $5-$10 over 1-2 days and 5+ different ad sets.

Three, your site needs to be good looking with a logo. You need to spend some serious time on making it look like the legit shop it is.

Slow down and research more, you will save money that way. Either that or do what I've done, dumped $120 so far with 1 sale because I was too gung ho on getting started.

How long does it take facebook to verify your government ID, when we get our adwords account deactivated? sent it in and its been a while since they have even replied... Cheers

You have to purchase a trial plan on shopify to remove the password protection, so people could see your actual website. You won't get charged until the trial ends.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?? Thanks, Loedown. I will spend some time this weekend to make my site look better. And also read thru the posts.

Thank you @Franklin Hattchet, I'm trying your method and just created ads on Facebook, Optimization for Ad impressions, bid by automatic, at first the ctr is pretty low (ctr 0.07) and cpc is 0.5$, most impressions come from right column, didn't get any impressions from news feed, so I created one ad for mobile news feed, one ad for desktop news feed, one ad for audience network, will wait and see what will happen

Oh my god, cpc raised to 0.9$

Will test more images to lower cpc tonight, will spend 1500$ on this method before success

Already spend 50$, get 160 clicks in total but still 0 sales, what's the problem? OP can you take a look at my site?

You're going to spend money, $50 is not much. I'd start narrowing down your audience.

How many ads did you create? How many different audiences?

18 ads, some ads have pretty low ctr so it can't get much traffic

They havent all hit $5 a day yet it seems. It's been said here that you need to wait till the ads hit at least $5 in spent before starting to worry about the conversions.

I've spent about $130 in ads and once I hit that $5/day on all of them is when I started actually making a good amount of sales. Just keep at it and keep tweaking the ads.

Same thing here, I was spending a good amount of $ each day on ads but I just let them run their course and then started pruning non or poor performers, now my ads are just on autopilot for now.

Precisely. People are too quick to make changes if its not performing, or just stop completely. You need to let ads have a good day each, at least to run and see how they perform.

some ads hit 5$, some didn't because facebook stop the traffic so it can't hit to 5$
