Ranking with SILOs - Onpage question

Hello, I'm making a broad amazon reviews site and I'm not sure if my onpage strategy is correct for the KWs I want to rank.

I'm trying to rank "best KW" "cheap KW" and "model review"

The idea is to optimize for "best kw" in the pillar pages.

Let's call the keyword "bluetooth speaker". Should I go with:


reviewsite.com/bluetooth speaker/ *page title is Best Bluetooth Speaker
reviewsite.com/bluetooth speaker/cheap
reviewsite.com/bluetooth speaker/sony-123

OR

myreview.com/best-bluetooth speaker/ *page title is Best Bluetooth Speaker
myreview.com/best-bluetooth speaker/cheap
myreview.com/best-bluetooth speaker/sony-123


Should I put "sony-123-review" if I have "review" in my domain?

My KWs are low/medium competition so the idea is to rank for "bluetooth speaker" if it's possible too.

I would go with Best Bluetooth speaker which is easy to rank as compared to above one.

I'd go with the first one - shows more natural structure. G will pick up on what the pages are about, you dont need to worry about that.

I would make my structure natural, words like best are better left out of urls as they can always be used in titles.

First of all, I would not repeat keywords that you already have on your domain.

It looks spammy, it looks repetitive and it's really pointless.

It's absolutely not necessary, so leave it up.

Also, it's much better to stay away from "best" keywords.

Use synonyms.

Use LSI.

Whatever you do, try to stay away from making your website look like it uses a cookie cutter navigation system to game Google.

This is too easy to spot.

It looks unnatural.

It looks overly optimized and as you already know, Google is penalizing websites that are overly optimized.

It's easy to spot for a human, not for an algorithm. The reason why siloing works really good is because the structure is perfect for the bots (among other reasons). Google won't penalize you for having a silo structure lol, on the contrary, your rankings will shoot up and your site structure will be the best you can get in terms of on-site optimization. Gaming Google makes you money, not listening to Mat Cutts about doing "natural" things.
