So.. we updated Gramblr... finally.

I'm fairly certain Gramblr has made a few of my accounts ghosted. Everytime I used gramblr to upload a few pictures the account ended up getting ghosted permanently or temporarily.

Might have been because of the lack of updates from your part, or my tests have been unlucky towards gramblr.

Again, I'm no rocket scientist, this is just my experience with gramblr. I did like the program though. Shame how it ended up for me.

Popular hash tag support and uploading images via url would do wonders for this software. I use a site that does this but end up having to pay monthly. I wouldnt mind paying monthly for a local app that has the same features. Would you guys be willing to go this route for people who would want to be $10 a month for special features such as the ones I've listed above?

The popular hashtag feature would be simple to add in to be honest. As far as the "upload via URL" bit.. I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Elaborate if possible

Yeah, I heard reports that we were getting flagged awhile back because our upload code was... well, I'm going to be honest here and tell you that I did it slightly wrong. We've got an entirely new method for verifying we mimic the application correctly, so feel free to check out the update with a fresh account.

What i mean by upload by url is Instead of choosing a pic from my hd for it to upload to IG i would copy and paste a url of an image and it would upload that image to IG. While i do post on my own site i constantly delete pictures off my HD to be able to continue posting on my site. So when i need to make a post related to the item on my IG what i do is i go to the post on my site copy the Image link put it into the software and it extracts the image from the link i gave it and posts it up on IG.

Ah, I understand. I think our API will be helpful for situations like yours when we release it. I'll talk to the team and see where your feature request sits with our current release plans. Thank you for clarifying!

I was starting to use it, but since I've seen that they ghostban accounts I think I'll stick with the bluestack option.
I've seen that you use Chromium for the app. Isn't that what gives it away that it's spoofing the upload?

It was technically Webkit-based before, but with custom code wrapping the Webkit component itself that allowed me to send the correct headers and stuff. The reason it was ghosting accounts was because I neglected to process the images on the client side properly.

I'd suggest giving it another shot with a throwaway account

Odd. We're actually investigating a bug with the scheduler right now where some posts don't go through after several hours of no application usage (probably a memory leak tbh). Could you submit a ticket here explaining the problem in-dept? We need to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue as well. Thanks for the report!

so you're saying that everytime i open gambler it simulates a new device? Or with every different account and it sticks the same with each account. That would be an amazing feature and only proxy support would be missing to make it the ultimate ig account creating tool.

Edit: I just see its not possible to create an IG account. The video on your website is a little misleading.

The device settings are stored locally on your machine and never change for the most part. We don't allow the creation of Instagram accounts due to the fact that we don't really want people abusing IG with our software.

Hey all - I feel like a jerk for double posting, but I figured I'd let you all know that we're currently fixing some bugs and immediately implementing the "Trending tags" feature as well as tag suggestions based on input into the next release of the app. Thanks to user n8800 here on BHW for the suggestion - it was a good one!

We're working on getting a roadmap together to list the functional updates we're going to be rolling out. This will be available on the main site blog once we push our frontend updates.

Is there any reason my Gramblr would be pushing out posts at times that are different than I wanted?

They've been posting as early as 4 hours before scheduled, and as late as 10.
