Hey guys and gals o/.

CodingAndStuff here - I'm the dude who wrote the original app "Gramblr". I got super busy with life (got married, moved across the country a couple of times, discovered how delicious yet dangerous burritos can be in the American Southwest), and ultimately stopped working on Gramblr. I sold the app to a good friend of mine who has recently had the new lead engineer give it a complete overhaul. It just so happens that I am now back on the team part-time, so here I am!

There were a couple really big bugs in v1 if you remember - hashtags didn't work, etc. Those are gone now. We've also added a "like exchange" as well as full image and video upload support.. with filters! No more using external tools to crop your images. Oh, we also added in a post scheduler.

Anyways, I'm posting this here to give our current and past users a heads up that we're back and making some awesome changes. We'd really like feedback on what you like, dislike, and want to see in our app in the future. Feel free to respond here or via the support system we have in place.

Note to users: Gramblr violates instagrams TOS, so be aware of that I guess.

Note to mods: Sorry if this breaks any rules. Gramblr is free and always has been - probably always will be, too (minus the optional virtual currency for the like exchange). Feel free to PM me if you'd like the post changed or removed!

Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to give us some solid feedback!

adding video is good.
however, without being able to use proxy cut the usability by 80%.

Oh, sorry. I assumed everyone here knew of it already. http://gramblr.com/. It's not a bot, btw. It's just an instagram utility to upload photos to Instagram from your Mac or PC. Oh, we also added multi-account support, so you can manage multiple accounts at once.

Uploading through Gramblr is against IG's TOS, which should be annotated. Uploading through third party apps is not allowed, no matter if it's any other site or a program like this.

Never used Gramblr before, just wanted to say congrats on your life stuffs! (getting married, going on adventures, eating mean burriots)

i quite liked the app back then, that was before bots came like xgram and instadominate, good to see that it's back :)

ummm.. did you get lost

Yeah, I guess so, but I'd rather say you got lost since you cannot use google to lookup what this program is about or where to get it ;-)

there are more people who ain't registered at this forum reading this than those registered, since this posts ain't private. It was just a little annotation for those who don't know and might come across this post for the first time ;-)

Is Gamblr safe to use ? I mean can I be banned for using it ?

Are you using Instagram's API to upload photos and videos or you simulate some kind of mobile device?

I'm using the app for a while now and it fits my needs. I'd like to have a feature for setting default hashtags for an account.

Can I update through the app or do I have to download it?

so i guess you wont answer relevant questions.

Proxy support is something we'll be implementing. It's not too terribly high on our to-do list, but it is a feature that has been requested before, so it'll work it's way into one of the next updates.

If you're still using Gramblr v1 (the old original one without a "gramblr account"), then you should have already been forced to update. That's a nice idea, actually. We'll discuss it and see where it fits in on our development roadmap!

We've always used Instagram's private API. Their public API doesn't allow uploads.

I'd like to say it is 100% safe, however we just don't know. We do everything in our power to simulate mobile device profiles as well as keep device id's unique to each account, so Instagram can't really tell if you're using Gramblr or.. an iPhone6/Nexus 6. That being said, there is always the possibility of Instagram finding out you're using it and banning you.

I don't think they'd do that since we have millions of people using the application (several thousand new installations everyday), so if they ban you, they ban everyone.

Popular hash tag support and uploading images via url would do wonders for this software. I use a site that does this but end up having to pay monthly. I wouldnt mind paying monthly for a local app that has the same features. Would you guys be willing to go this route for people who would want to be $10 a month for special features such as the ones I've listed above?
