Hey,

I read that siloing your site is really powerful. I am running a company website where it's like:

Main Page - Services - Jobs done - About - Contact.

They are all single pages and that's all I have. How can I adapt silo strategy here? Should I make some more pages about.. something? Or just make a link from every other page to Main Page? Because I dont have any categories or so called articles the silo structures are like.

Silo structure means precisely the following:

Arranging the web-elements is the base for any website. For your website to work for you in the years to come follow the silo structure mentioned in the above image. The pages you have is enough. Just create a home page which is treated as the main page that links every other page to it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I was just confused because all the silo structures have categories, posts etc. I just have main page and few other pages. I guess I'll make links from other pages to the main page then, should they be with keyword or just 'click here'?

Your best bet would be LSI Keywords for that and interlink the pages to one another as well as shown in the picture I created.

You're definitely right on the money when you say that siloing is a very powerful search strategy.

It's definitely a great way to organize on-page elements to get a leg up in your search rankings.

Based on the way you currently set things up, I would suggest that you break down the services page into smaller components.

If you look at any kind of service, you would realize that there are actually several benefits that service delivers.

Create main services page where you describe the services that you actually deliver to your clients.

On the services page, however, create links to internal pages that describes benefits.

This way, you increase the likelihood that you would get more traffic from search engines, but you also increase the likelihood that people reading your pages
would get a better understanding and appreciation of the benefits you bring to the table.

This may have the overall effect of helping your website sell better.

You end up killing two birds with one stone

One of the most simple, true graphics for siloing I've seen. Nice find.

Quick question, is Post 1 for example linking to Post 3 in the same category? Or everyone only links to Next / Previous and Power Page ?

Link Services - Jobs done - About - Contact page with Main Page and then create internal links/relation between Services - Jobs done - About - Contact and make rest other links no-follow. In WP some other extra page are automatically created like tags page. Be sure to remove them or make them no follow
