People don't type your domain in by mistake. You need to advertise/promote your blog in order to get visitors.

I completely agree with MonsterMag. You can't expect any traffic if you don't do the advertising for it - and on that exact note, have you ever heard the saying "Fish where the fish are?" Obviously, if you create a new website and hoping right after that thousands of visitors will start coming in from nowhere, that is just delusional and it most likely won't happen.

You need to invest some money to bring traffic.
Traffic > Social media accounts >> Your website
1) Create social media accounts/pages. FB, Instagram,... and post shareable content..
2) Bring Traffic to them.
>> Ask (pay for) other pages to mention your social media pages.. facebook share, instagram shoutout etc..
>> Social media ads - to ur social media pages.

Outside social media
>> Pay youtube channels to add your website on the description / mention your site ( damn.com site did something like this )

Why would you want to advertise outside of Social Media? Doesn't make sense to me...

I would try to do the free promotion first. Find groups in the niche of specific articles and post them there -> traffic coming in.

There is much much more to do, maybe someone else has time for that...

There are usually two main options you have: Either learn SEO or promote your blog via Social Media. (or combine both)
For both SEO and Social Media promotion you will find plenty of helpful guides here on bhw.

You should probably start by reading about keyword research.

I chk 3 and found similar a lot of pages with more then 80% same content.. so don't tell its written by you those articles are rewritten ones and even bad rewritten you need to write your unique articles and yes share via social networks.

Yeah a lot of content I started to just re-write because I thought it was a sure way to get traffic and build an audience, I do enjoy when i write my own, it can be a lot of fun.

My facebook page for the site has just over 2000 people at the moment but it's a slow slow build

Wow I really found that your blog it's great ,I think that it's not a quick way to make money because you don't use affiliate links or cpa but after a period it worths especially this kind of blogs about news that generate a lot of traffic that with ads you can make some good money after some time.In my opinion what you have to do is to write some reallly intersting things to attract people and buy traffic and facebook likes and also do a facebook ad. There are cases where a site owner will do absolutely nothing to promote their site and receive all kinds of visitors who share the content with their family and friends (http://maddox.xmission.com/), but most of us don't get that lucky. As the other members here have said, try sharing your content on social media and see where that takes you.

Submit your site to various search engines. share your post on social network.
create some fake FB profiles and share your posts on each and every profile. it will bring traffic.

This is actually correct as all data is pulled by ajax. This way google can render frontend urls and crawl website.

Edit: Correct but deprecated since october 2015, as google bot now understands javascript.

I see from your site you're somewhat lazy. It's news site, you need at least 5-10 articles per day.
One article per day or in five days is not enough for user to come back, at least not soon.
Categories would help a bit also, but there is not enough articles for that.

I totally disagree. The site and its content are not exactly there for long-term engagement.

I would invest heavily into Facebook. Its the kind of stuff people will share on facebook and share quite easily. You will need money to get the ball started though. Target males between 16 and 35ish. With 100 articles you can keep the ball going for at least half a year (if you post other funny stuff). Twitter might work as well. Don't see Instagram or Pinterest for that. Read some guides on facebook marketing.

I would skip seo almost altogether. Your conntent is meant for commuters. People generally don't google "bull sperm theft" on the bus. They surf facebook waiting for something to happen.

Start collecting e-mail adresses for a daily update and send it out before or after work..maybe lunch break.

I also wouldn't bother about the menue/look and feel of the website. Try to direct the readers straight to the content. I'd actually say a cheap look is a bonus.

The biggest Problem: With that kind of content you will need loads of traffic to make money.
Either way i'd concentrate on marketing and skip content creation for now.

Page is extremely slow loading and sometimes it doesn't even load at all. Maybe that is what causes all the problems.

Try different theme, try some SEO, try some Social promotions, get some subscribers..
