[Chapter #1] SEO Basics – What it is and how to get started!

It's well appreciated.

Now, I plan on doing other 5 threads regarding these chapters:

Chapter 2: Onpage SEO
Chapter 3: Offpage SEO, where all the magic happens!
Chapter 4: Advanced SEO techniques! (The secret techinique bhw barely talks about it)
Chapter 5: BONUS! Analysing 2 sites that ranked at the top for over a year!
Chapter 6: How to actually profit from this GUIDE! (Selling sites, start an agency and whatnot!)

The only problem I see of creating one whole thread with the next chapters is that topics would get mixed and I believe it woould be counterproductive as per discussion. I mean if i post everything in 1 thread, there would be questions about eveyrthing and finding/answering questinos would get a little bit messy imho.

I'd like to know what you guys think and in 24-48 hours I will post next chapter as we discuss.

If there really are going to only be five more "chapters", my best suggestion would be to post the updates in this thread, and request a mod to update the OP of this thread with links to the posts for each chapter. That way things are nicely organized, and contained to one topic, versus having seven threads bumped at various times and questions spilling between threads.

You don't know messy until you have multiple part threads where someone is asking a question in one thread that actually pertains to another. If you do that, I 100% guarantee and will put money on it that you will abandon this project before it is even finished.

Looks like reputation management to me, similar to what t0mmy does. Post a load of articles on the forum to get your name out there and gain trust for your BST.

Well I planned ahead and thats why I created http://royserpa.com, a site where you will be able to read all chapters in 1 place. It's a backup site for this guide and the best part is that it won't be monetized at all as it's meant to give back to bhw.

This way you can just go to that site and see all chapters in 1 place without the need to look around and whatnot.

Well I planned ahead and thats why I created royserpa.com, a site where you will be able to read all chapters in 1 place. It's a backup site for this guide and the best part is that it won't be monetized at all as it's meant to give back to bhw.

This way you can just go to that site and see all chapters in 1 place without the need to look around and whatnot.

I guess you don't understand that this is barely the first chapter of many. If you read the index in the first thread you will clearly see what's ahead. Yes, this thread is not as good as the others will but at the same time it is an introductory thread for the others and you will see I will be sharing everything

It's just the start baby, you will see in other threads

Agree with what most people have said here. Nothing wrong with reputation management/promoting your blog SO LONG as your content is useful.

Shitty content > promoting your blog/BST/image = never goes well on BHW.

Quality content > promoting your blog/BST/image = perfectly fine in my opinion so long as you're providing value and people are genuinely finding your posts useful. The only people I've seen in the past few weeks who have been providing genuine value with their constant posts are t0mmy and lightningblitz. Even if they were promoting a blog or trying to increase their "rep/image" - it doesn't matter. They're providing actual value so it all cancels out in my opinion.

There's a difference between writing garbage posts just for the sake of directing traffic to a blog as opposed to writing quality content and trying to drive some traffic to your blog.

@Roy - my suggestion would be to just put everything into 1 thread but split them into different posts for each chapter. So in the original post you can have the first chapter and then you can create a 2nd post on the same thread with the 2nd chapter and so on. When someone wants to ask you a question they could just quote the chapter and you would instantly know what they're talking about.

Or you could post it thread by thread but make sure each thread has value. Whatever you choose to do, all the best.
