Use WordPress instead of Shopify!
I found that Shopify is being used when we have open-source Wordpress and WooCommerce(thanks to Cryogenesis). The subscription fee for shopify is way more than it should be. One can buy a hosting package for a year at the price of one month?s shopify subscription! And we have many themes for wordpress and even special plugins.

Wordpress plugins to aid your woocommerce store!
1. WooCommerce Mailchimp (free)
Once someone sign?s up at your store, you will have their email id somewhere. But you can?t send them your own customized emails. Only emails of the their delivery status will be sent automatically, only if they buy something. But with this plugin, we can integrate those emails with a mailchimp account and send them offers, discounts and new line of your (dropshipping) products!

2. Monarch Social Share (we?ll have it for free ;) )
This particular plugin is very useful while using woocommerce because, we can trigger share pop-ups after the goods are purchased like amazon.

Never Personally tested Woocommerce! Shopify is too fast and easy to set up! :)

I think the reason why Shopify was promoted and suggested was because it is literally the most noob friendly platform for this "method".

And... You guessed it. Franklin Hatchett's crowd were noobs so Shopify made much more sense rather than burning hours figuring out how to set up WooCommerce.

Shopify is a done-for-you platform that's perfect for anyone, even those with 0 experience in building websites.

What do you do when customers find out that the junk you sold them is not worth the amount of money that they have paid for the item? This business model is like CPA, it dies out once you run out of suckers wo are buying into the method. You can change products and offers but there is little to no sustainability for this trash. To support my theory I really wanted to link the sad, sad thread of someone trying to sell a shopify account on flippa and was asking for people how to fake sales and statistics to boost the selling price.

I think the overall mentality of BHW has degraded into ravenous beasts that can't think for themselves, so when things that should be common sense are posted they receive praise and worship from money starved beasts.

Hopefully the legacy of this method by Franklin Hatchett moves in right direction. All the best moneyeagle :)

Yup which leaves the door open for the pro's to create professional looking websites which convert better.

You have FULL control of your business with Woocommerce. For a lot of people that's enough of a reason to use it.

Yes, the amount of Wordpress plugins and themes make it easier for anyone to create anything!

Shopify is a lot easier for newbies and the 30$ per month is reasonable when you start getting in the sales to be honest. The cheap hosting that costs 30$ per year is not going to handle the traffic well if you don't have the Wordpress properly setup and optimized.

That said, i prefer Woocommerce on every single ecommerce store I operate myself. For my clients I usually customize a Shopify store. Much easier to use for someone who isn't running an online store as their main business.

Woocommerce all the way, shopify is good for newbies, but there is so much more you can do with woocommerce.

Be careful with aliexpress, chinese new year is coming.

Have you used AliExpress? I wanted to know if, While shipping to USA or UK or Russia, have you ever faced customers complaining about Import Duty or Custom Duty?
There's prestashop if you're looking for a free solution.
There are lot more than Prestashop, like OpenCart, AbanteCart, etc. but again noobs won't be able to handle them! And there are not many themes and Plugins as you will find in WooCommerce(Wordpress)!

What I meant was prestashop's free hosting option that lets you make a store under their subdomain.

If you're talking about self-hosted cms, then yeah wordpress/woocommerce is still the best imo.

if you sell low priced items, your customer's won't face any import taxes
and if i can remember correctly, you sell low priced items with the F. H. method, not just because you artificially set the item price low and earn on the shipping, but because that shyte from alieexpress is low priced anyway

the maximum price where an item is still duty free varies by country (in the US it's $200), shipping time will give you/them greater headaches
alternatively you can use a site like this to calculate the fees
