Hey, awesome stuff you shared in this journey.
I have started scraping tumblrs myself, got around 50 now which is okay, and also right now scraping over-blogs.

I'm interested, how do you chose niche and keywords? Do you just browse around and you get idea and then research competitiors etc.?
Also, for parasite, what other type of links do you build, if any? And regarding content, how long it should be in your opinion.

My niche? I find the best domain possible and then do KW research. That is how I started doing my sites and it works out better in the long run.

In terms of Parasites, I pick a niche I know I can make money in and do a LOT of KW research. Every niche has a converting hole you can exploit and you just need to find it.

For Parasites I spam with GSA, 301 shorteners or redirects and use Web 2.0s most of the time.

Content? I like 1K words plus good content that will convert well. If your content sucks people will not convert. I like conversions.

Small update:

Parasite is ranking nicely but is not number one. So I al using some 301 URL shorteners as well.

I have made enough to start buying PBN domains so am going through the process of scraping them up.

1. Register with a unique email.

How do you get so many unique emails. Gmail and Yahoo require phone verification.
Do you buy these PV emails from the marketplace?

I buy PVAs I find on Google. You can get 100 for 20 bucks or something like that.

Russian or Yandex non PVA accounts are a LOT cheaper.

I prefer to register an expired domain and let it sit. Or I go for an aged domain. Aged + existing back link profile is best.

I wonder why we cannot use tor browser in order to register new web 2.0 or do any activities in tor browser which you recommend using proxys for. Can someone explain the details behind this?

Opinion on something that just happened? Honestly, I need to do a lot of testing a graph my KWs and see if ranking declines and test my Tumblr network on new things.

So far, I have no decrease in rankings with Tumblr as my main ranking strategy.

A meta refresh with a zero second timing also has very little impact on SEO. It will lead to a slight loss in link juice, but even if it is a full scale refresh it would operate like a 301 URL shortener, and you would keep a majority of the link juice.

Purely hypothetical, but I do not see this having a huge impact. I already beef up my Tumblrs and go after the best expired ones. At worst I may need to double the number to rank. But they are vastly cheaper than a PBN and for some sites, the ROI is not in a PBN and Tumblr works.

I will do some testing and if I find something conclusive will post about it (Maybe - depends when I do this testing). but I do not expect a huge impact.

Sure can. No harsh answer either as this is a good question.

I used to use Tor (I think I suggested it in this thread). The problem is you get occasionally hit with the IP being banned or account locked if Tor times out.

I have used Tor in the past and still advocate it, but proxies and Zapyo plug in are superior.

It's rare I see a thread on here where someone REALLY knows how ranking works. Even if I'd never ever do all this work at this point in my life it's super interesting to see someone rank purely based on actual knowledge. Everyone should definitely read between the lines in this whole thread. Anyone can tell you to follow the steps, but the technical stuff you learn here will help you even if you're working with an enormous budget or your client is already authoritative.

One thing that was touched on but a lot of people miss is the whole concept of LSI and the "how to get rid of zits" example. LSI is way way way way old school. LSI (latent semantic indexing) in AI is a way of knowing what words are RELATED. Back in the day, all Google knew was that "zits", "pimples" and "acne" were related because they often occurred together. So a link from a page about "zits" to a page about "pimples" was considered relevant, but you could still target each one separately. Now, with machine learning in play Google is powerful enough to understand that "zits", "pimples" and "acne" are all the same thing. Since it knows this it doesn't make any sense to treat them differently.

This is actually a great example. Look at the serps for "how to get rid of zits" and notice the highlighted text is "how to get rid of pimples". You asked for zits, it knows you need pimples.

It's something to look out for in your keyword research. LSI keywords (or synonyms really in this case) are good for varied but relevant anchor text, but build pages for them and you're gonna end up cannibalizing.
