[GET] A free cell phone number

Sorry if this is the wrong section for this post as I'm not actually giving away phone numbers but just the method to get it. For this to work you will need an iPod, iPad, tablet, or phone. You will also need an actual phone number before doing this method though.

Step 1: Download Dingtone from android or iOS device. http://www.dingtone.me/en/ (non-ref).
Step 2: Get 1 or more Dingtone phone numbers.

• What is a Dingtone phone number? Dingtone can assign you one or multiple real U.S. phone numbers.
  These phone numbers are exactly the same as phone numbers assigned by Verizon, AT&T and Sprint and can be used to call and text anyone...even people not using Dingtone.

• Are Dingtone phone numbers free? Yes and No.
  The first Dingtone phone number is free for our U.S users. Note: Certain conditions apply.
  After that, additional numbers cost 100+ Dingtone credits each.

It's really easy to gain credits too (just downloading apps/watching videos whatever). I don't know, I thought this might help someone, it helped me.

Yes I have used both the calling and texting and they work fine!

and they wanted 100 credits for the first number, I dont think there is a way to get a free number, with 25 credits I either got to watch 75 vids for a number, or pay $3.99 for 250 credits or so

Huh, I got a free number. Are you from the US? Downloading apps give like 200+ points.

Maybe the free number is for iTunes US accounts only if you have an iOS device.

Meaning will gmail associate the new Dingtone verified gmail account as a new phone verified gmail account or will it consider it as an old phone number verified gmail account?
