How to Build Your OWN PBN - A Quick Guide for Newbies

Great guide! The more information on PBN, the better.
Looking forward to your success.

For number one, absolutely. I use those programs for my sites and my clients. As long as no one re used the content yet. So check the content to see if it is indexed already on another domain.

I will be honest, it is impossible to find 15 + strong contextual links. Heck, 15 + Contextual referring domains are near impossible as it is. I can't find them, nor have I met a seller who can without going into the pool of $XXX + for a single domain.

What I suggest is finding the domains with the highest number of good referring domains. Some of my 'Best Domains' had only three referring domains. And of those three only one is an elite link and the other two are niche relevant and are good to have.

It takes common sense here and follow your gut (Which I misspelled as guy in the OP). If you want a single PBN domain to link out to more than one site, you need more referring domains.

If you can't find domains that good, buy the best you can find and give them some more juice. A Press Release, some Web 2.0 links, and you suddenly have more referring domains and a lot more power.

thanks, OP. More questions:
1. how long your pbns are re-index?
2. how old is your site when you add pbns?

For question one, it depends. After content is up normally within 72 hours the site is indexed. Some times it can take weeks to get indexed. To speed this up I build some links to my re registered domain so Google will crawl the domain.

I start link building day one. Depending on KW competition I start to build PBN links about two weeks after my foundational link building is done.

Hey nice post. Do you recommend buying PBN posts for people starting out? I heard that building your own PBN will take months until it reaches high authority and top quality. On the other hand purchasing PBN blogposts will allow you to see results in hopefully 1 month. What are your thoughts on this?

Link number three is Small Orange Hosting. This is one of the only host I will name specifically because I LOVE them as a SEO host. They provide unlimited sites. I do NOT suggest that. I do suggest picking up a $5 dollar account because I have never had down time with them and they have great support.

Passed week a lot of small orange servers were down for multiple times for 24 hours and longer.... Just saying that there are better ways to host.

Remember the foot print of the domain suddenly being about something vastly different than it was before? This is a good point to remember that when deciding to re - brand the domain or re - create it. Also, you may want to keep in mind the tip of using the last owners details on the Who Is record.

Recreating a site is in my opinion a bigger footprint then building a new site on it, here you have a domain that was offline for months and all of the sudden it is registered again with the exact same content (well what is still available in the waybackmachine), that is more of a footprint then reusing a domain, as thousands of domains get reused on a daily basis.

It is real easy to spot that one for google, one glimps in their own archive and your PBN is done!

Most PBN links you buy are of bad quality.

The good ones cost you more per month than building your own.

It depends how much work you want to put into it. I suggest building your own properties rather than rely on someone else.

I did not know that about small orange. Thank you for pointing it out.

Most of my sites are rebranded / repurposed domains myself. I never thought about the foot print aspect. Looks like it is time to stop rebuilding sites then, thank you.

This is an insanely detailed and high quality post.

Thank you for the information.

"Building your own PBN will take months until it reaches high authority and top quality". Not true. Just purchase strong enough domains and have a genuinely powerful set-up and bam.. your PBN is already mighty powerful. You don't need to wait months for it to become "high authority". Sure, the authority will increase over time if you maintain it correctly.. but PBNs will be strong from the moment you create it - should you do it properly.

If you're a complete beginner to PBNs and have no experience with them whatsoever - then you're most likely going to get ripped off with most of the PBN services on the market today. Why? Because you have little experience.. so you won't be able to tell if the service you just purchased was genuinely worth it or not. Don't purchase a PBN service and review it afterwards purely on rankings.

If you are absolutely new to PBNs then I do not recommend you buy a PBN service. Instead, improve and gather your knowledge on the topic. Threads like this and the ones from t0mmy are perfect ways to start out. There are so many resources on this forum alone.. but if that wasn't enough, start searching on Google/Youtube. There are literally so many PBN tutorials/guides around that you would find useful. When I first started, I had no idea how to find domains or create a long-lasting network. But you want to know what helped me? All the guides out there. I read and read until I had the knowledge needed to start experimenting.

Once you think you know what you're doing - go out there and purchase a few domains. You don't have to create a 100 site PBN on your first attempt. Purchase 5 domains. Register them on different registrars. Don't overthink it. The amount of people I've seen who overthink this step ("oh.. maybe I should register each domain on a different registrar and then have different fake WHOIS for them all and then bla bla").. no. Don't overthink it. Just be natural. Register 5 domains with a few registrars. It's OK to have multiple domains in a single registrar account. Make sure you don't go crazy though and start storing 100 domains in a single account because that's where the trouble starts. Again, just be sensible.

So now you have 5 domains registered. Sign up to a hosting service (lightningblitz has already explained this part). And also remember - by the time you're doing all this you should already have the knowledge from all the guides and tutorials you've read at the very beginning.. so finding the perfect hosting should not be a problem if you know what you're looking for. Install Wordpress (don't worry about other CMS for now - Wordpress is perfect for starting out).

Remove the default theme and now at this point - just COMPLETELY FORGET that you are trying to create a PBN site and start assuming that you are creating a GENUINE/LEGIT site for a new startup company. This means unique content/images/opt in forms/social media accounts/etc. The key to this step is to completely ignore the fact that this site is going into a PBN and start treating it as an official money site. You'll know if you did this step correctly because at the end you will either say:

1. wow this site looks terrible. i would never read/buy from/revisit this site again.

OR

2. daaaaayum. this site genuinely looks badass. i like it!

You should be aiming to achieve a similar response to #2.

And there you go. Now you have 5 PBN sites that are strong, look great and will get you results. Now just add your articles (unique articles!), add in your link sensibly and smartly, and watch your rankings increase. Remember your mindset - THIS IS A LEGIT SITE AND NOT A PBN SITE - so make sure to constantly add new posts/updates to the site yourself.

And once you're confident with doing this, simply scale it up and do this for 10 sites/50 sites/100 sites. I have hundreds of domains in my PBN and they're all going super strong becuase I follow this very simple process. Do not treat your PBN as a PBN. Treat it as a collection of real, money sites. Change your mindset at how you view your PBN and the rest will take care of itself.

To quickly summarize - if you are new/just starting out - DO NOT purchase a PBN service unless you know what you need to look out for/what you're buying. Instead:

1. READ! This is free. It doesn't cost money. Even an hour a day for a week will be good enough before you begin setting up your PBN.

2. EXPERIMENT! Using just a few domains, create a small network. Make sure you do it properly.

3. RESULT! There. Wasn't so hard, was it? PBNs are really not that complicated.. so long as you do it properly and correctly. It only gets complicated when you do it the wrong way.

Once you test out your PBN, track your results, do some testing - THEN I would maybe recommend you go out and purchase a PBN service.. because this time - you know exactly what a PBN should look like/do.

Apologies if there are any typos. It's 4AM and I'm half asleep.

Whoops. Forgot to say, quality post lightningblitz! It's pretty obvious that the # of PBN tutorials on this forum is growing - but in my opinion that's a great thing. What I don't understand is why many people still don't build their PBNs properly when there is so much useful, brilliant content like this out there. Hopefully people find this useful and build their PBNs with success :)

I could not have said it better myself Leith.

Thank you for the kind words.

Detailed Post and I'm sure it will clear the doubts for newbies.
Great work buddy.

Thanks for the PBN guide, previously I see some more threads on same topics. I hope it will be helpful for newbies

This is the best advice i have read in a long time about PBN site building, this is what i preach too, if you land on one of my PBN sites you would not know the site was there just for the link juice, my PBN's are all build in silo's with at least 30 articles readable content, not that spun Word AI crap, i use some cheap writers that can write article directory quality content. Also my PBN sites update themselves every 2 weeks with fresh content, that is not a lot but enough to keep the site relevant for Google.

I ad social media, all my PBN's have a filled fan page, twitter account and youtube channel, i do promote my PBN's like they were moneysites, even if they have their own backlink profile, i will ad new links to hem, just like you would a money site, they also have (fake) adds and a email collector box..

This is not cheap of fast, but if you build your PBN's like this you wont have to worry about your WHOIS or that you have 2 sites on the same C block IP or all that other crap that manual reviewers use to track down your network.

Build quality instead of quantity, i used to think the other way around, but no i see the authority of my networks grow every month, and when i sue the links to rank something, it ranks faster every month. I just build one for a friend of mine who has a brick and mortar business (literally) , i was done in september, took me two months to build, it was a 21 domain network, all domains are around TF15, but they had great backlink profiles, we added the links at the end of September and at the beginning of December he was #2 for his keyword, the keyword is the equivalent of Plumber New York, and he ranked for lots of keywords that we even didn't think of, cost him a good chunk of money but he is as happy as he can be right now. (he promised to name his first born after me :) )

That is what you can achieve with a real PBN. Sure you can create cheap PBN sites with two/three articles on a crappy theme, that still works, but you will be chasing the Google dragon again, my advice is, if you start building your PBN now, start the right way and build your sites like (as Leith said earlier) moneysites instead of these crappy PBN sites that are spotted in the wink of an eye.

With you guys chiming in (Looking at you Dave and Leith) this is turning into one of the more informative threads on PBNs as a lot of people more experienced in myself are chiming in. I am even picking up a couple things. Thanks around.

Great job buddy, Nice guide to learn and follow.

Is it possible to use parasite pages in a PBN as well?

Or use parasites pages to add linkjuice to the PBN?
Reply would be great.

Both is good practice imho, the first is good for link diversion and the second is good to keep your PBN network juiced, i find it really strange that people never backlink their PBN network, the juice in those PBN domains will diminish over time, adding a view extra backlinks can't hurt at all.
