I got off with 2 duis years back..
First one I was absolutely plastered, coming back from a full night of drinking and parting at a strip club with friends. 2 female cops pulled me over (they were super hot too haha). They let me drive home since my place was like 1 minute away.. plus I said I just picked my friends up from the strip club and didn't drink anything.
Second time I drank a few beers at my brother place, I was supposed to sleep over but he was being a jackass so I left, on the way home I got pulled over.. the cop told me if I tested under 0.08 (I think it was) he'd let me off. I passed the test.
Personally I would spend the next 15 days studying the law, read everything you can, go on law forums and ask for advice. Build a defense and represent yourself. Free / cheap lawyers are HARMFUL to your case.. and fuck paying 25k unless you're very well off. I doubt you'll get jail time, if it's a first offense and you have no record. If anything they might put a breathalyzer in your car and give you a fine, or maybe suspend your license..
I suggest you stop drinking completely (like I did for the past 5-6 years). Alcohol makes you say and do so much dumb shit.. go hang around a bunch of drunk people while sober it will help you make a decision once you realize that's how you act too lol.

If you're looking at 'prison time' this is either not your first offense or you're hiding half the story of what happened.

What country do you live in? The only other website I can think of where lawyers outside of the US would be reviewed is Google Maps, although if I knew the country, I could probably find a country-specific lawyer review site for you.Thanks, but that's only in the US

That still doesn't mean I'm not Walter White. Got arrested at 16 for a small homemade explosive that could take a 2 story building down (bomb squads words not mine). At 17 my chemistry teacher had me doing demonstrations in class. Like blowing up hydrogen balloons, making aspirin.... students liked me cause I made chemistry FUN. I made it so fun everyone called me the "unabomber". I was the only kid who did demonstrations in class. I think my teacher loved me cause I could tell stories about all the explosives I STOPPED making. Then 19 that meth lab thing happened.

They will scare you with a couple years of jail time and give you a plea bargain of suspended license, probation, fines and possibly drug rehab, this will most likely happen. I would fight it if I were you and risk taking the jail time if I was you tbh, ive been there, probation is a bitch and jail is a good place to work on yourself.

I highly doubt the only lawyer that can defend you is $25,000.
Drink driving is pretty standard stuff. You obviously fucked up pretty badly, but you are not the first guy to do it and you won't be the last.
Shop around, if you think $25,000 is the only way you are going to avoid jail you are worrying over nothing. If you fucked a goat while high on meth shooting a gun in the air screaming "fuck the policeeeeeeee!" I can see why a special lawyer might be required. But drink driving is an everyday crime.

Little update, ya never said to anyone the extent of my injuries.
I was in ICU for a month and the hospital for another month, then in and out with infections, until i finally became stable.
I have a full blown ileostomy bag, meaning I shit out of the side of my stomach. everything that has happened I deserve. I was coming home from the bar, and was blacked out drunk.
I have quit drinking since the accident, almost 7 months now, and also quit smoking cigarettes.
The reason why it is considered such a big offense is because my girlfriend got on the bike with me. And luckily she wasn't hurt. But it did cost me 7k from her ambulance ride, and multiple scans.
Im still not fully recovered, I had to learn how to walk again, all my muscle mass has gone away since I was in bed for such a long time. I can barely walk a mile with out being winded.
I am a repeat offender. This was my near death wake up call. Drinking ruined my life, my relationships, my careers.
But, I will do the time, man up for my actions and move on.
