I've been using Winautomation for awhile now and I want to switch, but I'm just having a hard time weighing out the benefits of switching.

From your perspective, what are the benefits to migrating from Winautomation to Ubot Stealth?

Great question. Web automation often requires stealthy features like user agent switching, proxies, header control, regular expressions, captcha solving, email link-clicking, headless browsing, etc, and UBot Studio has these features built right in with simple commands. You might not need all of these features right now, but chances are that you will one day, and you'll have to switch then.

Additional features like Threadspawn that will allow you to multi-thread your bots, as well as the compilation feature (available in Standard in UBot Studio and with Whitelabel featuers in Dev) to create executables, puts the web automation power of UBot Studio well above what Winautomation can do.

The number of available features might sound complicated, but we've designed UBot Studio to be easy for someone to start out with. Then, as you need features, you can upgrade or look up how to use them if they're already in the Edition you have. When you need a feature for IM or web automation, you can count on it being available in UBot - and we've got an API to add plugins to, as well, so other IMers have added their own ideas.

Winautomation was always designed for windows automation, and they increased their feature set around 2012 to have better interaction with the web. UBot Studio was always designed for powerful web automation with internet marketers in mind. At this point the two products have some similarities but unless you are doing a lot of offline automation I think a product that is designed to powerfully automate the web is probably the right choice. (And UBot Studio does have file interactivity, shell commands, and windows automation features as well, if you need that.)

I have bought a Standard license around 2012 but never really have used it since I couldn't find the time to learn the thing.

I've tried to learn as I go meaning that if I have a particular need, I would create a bot for it (or at least try to). It's really simple for a non-programmer since everything is basically laid out there (along with a huge database of free scripts and such in the forum). Problem is, time.

I will test this boy out this month and see if I could get a hang of it. The good is that the discount is still until December 31 so I have a few weeks to decide whether I should jump to the Professional or Developer edition.

Quick question, would I get a discount if I want to upgrade to Prof or Dev since I already have a Standard version bought at the regular price? Thanks.

I'm not a customer, but I'm a software developer and this looks freaking awesome. In order to support THAT much functionality the author must have put a TON of work in. Kudos to you!

I use Ubot a lot so I think a review is in order here from me.

Ubot to me is overall a great tool. I started using Ubot about 3 years ago or so and picked it up very fast. I think that most people could pick it up in a few weeks and start to "get it."

With Ubot you can make things very quickly. I would say the ease of use, the learning curve and the fact that you can create programs nearly as fast as you can think are the best parts about Ubot.

Recently the updates have been pretty good. It seems now that updates come on a pretty regular basis and overall there seems to be some real positive improvements made to Ubot in the last year. I truly believe the team is working hard every day on the program to make it better.

There are plugins now in Ubot as well, these extend the capabilities of Ubot and are developed by the community. These bring new features that are not even mentioned in the sales page. I'm not sure what version you can start to use plugins with though it might only be Pro and up - maybe Seth can chime in here and answer this. But anyways, some are free and some are paid for. But you likely will be using them if you are serious about Ubot so that is another thing to consider because now there is a plugin for many things that Ubot doesn't do out of the box.

The Ubot community is pretty good as well. If you have a question you can always ask on the forum and people will gladly help you

So overall I am a fan, I think most people who are interested in botting will find Ubot to be a useful tool.

Within a few years of launching UBot Studio, it became very clear how important the UBot Community was (and is). The brilliance and creativity I saw from within our ranks is what inspired me to create the plugin system.


The plugin API/plugins can be used by anyone with any Edition of the software. I'm glad you mentioned the API - we've had users create over 50 plugins for sale and offer dozens of other free plugins. Awesome work by the UBot community!

I personally have used ubot since around version 3.5

The length ubot has come since then till now is leaps beyond competition and allows even the novice developer to make software with a drag and drop interface, and now with plugins from the previous v4 version thats still brought forward to v5 makes it that much more powerful.

If there is something you need and its not available a plugin could be created by a developer using the plugin system and end up having the support for what your needing.

Its a absolutely wonderful system. cant go wrong with it at all.

Ha! Imagine getting a robot that you could train to do your entire job for you....that would be a great gift.

While I'm sure a few overpriced coders have gone out of business because of it, more often than not businesses have been built with UBot Studio.

A LOT of customers buy UBot after a few months of thinking about it. I'm always impressed by the number of customers I talk to who have said they've wanted it for a few months or even years and how it sits with them and they eventually decide to buy, as they realize after a few years of IM how useful it will be.

Then they tell me that UBot Studio is the real deal and they're really glad they finally got it.

So don't wait until after this deal is over, everyone. It's a great price (especially on Developer) and it's the best way to start your 2016.

If you plan to sell your own bots then UBot Studio is the right choice, from everything I can tell about how ZP works.

A 30 scraper bundle would be worth a lot to a lot of people, that's a great idea

Thanks Seth. These scrapers are for my own site. They need to scrape weekly and append any new listings to my main database. Looks like I could do this with Ubot with a variety of methods. I will give the Standard a try most likely. I have some Java and Php Experience. Shouldnt be too difficult to learn. Cheers!
