If they would offer 99 cent domains again I would certainly buy from them again and then probably transfer them out to other providers.

Just keep in mind that when you transfer you will have to pay for another years reg fee at that host so you will probably want to keep the domain with 1&1 for most of the year so you are at least getting some time before having to pay the regular reg fee for it.

Simple philosophy of mine is, you get what you pay for

Ive purchased 99 cent domains from godaddy and namecheap many times and Ive got the domains up and running in less than 10 minutes.

I registered a domain through 1&1 two months ago. All my other domains are on namecheap and godaddy. It's the only domain on 1&1. Although I am hosting this domain somewhere else. But the problem is I have put lots of work into this. After seeing this thread I am really confused. Should I transfer the domain to another registrar? Or should I continue here? Is there any chance I may lose my domain?
