Complaining about PBN sellers on BHW.

Errr there is one thing wrong with your logic nanexo - SAPE sellers are clearly stating that they are SAPE links, not sites owned PRIVATELY by them, so clients know exactly what they are getting in to. This is not the case with these PBN "resellers" claiming to have private networks yet all sharing the same one.

Nothing wrong with reselling guys.. but don't try to bullshit people or pull the wool over their eyes and in the process potentially harm their SEO campaign. Call a spade a spade at the end of the day.

First to establish there is nothing wrong with selling Sape or PBN's as long as it is done in a responsible manner.

By that logic PBN sellers are stating that they are PBN links.
As much as Sape links state that they are sape links.

The issue was duplicate links not it being private or not. (besides both pbn and sape have pvt and non pvt options)

-- Actually with Sape it can be worse duplication as no one can know in advance whether you are going to provide duplicate links.
With a PBN if it is not resold and its actually pvt you are guaranteed unique links
with sape you are definitely not as the seller has no control over the pool nor does he now or can predict the pool at any time and guarantee no duplicates

I can see powloon complained about 2 things:

1) Duplicate sites between 2 sellers (can happen with Sape!)
2) Deindexed sites (can happen with Sape!)

He did not complain about:
Private vs not Private
Also note these links were not given out in public so both sellers still had essentially pvt PBN's.

And this can happen just the same with Sape links because they are resold from the original source

Since I am calling a spade a spade, Sape links can be duplicated just the same as PBN links.

- this is my last reply

@ flickson et others
Because this is NOT my fight
I do not sell networks as of this moment
and there are many people here selling networks yet they do not even come here to defend their positions
and I am not related at all to these people so cant give a f*ck just do not like people being treated unfairly THAT IS ALL
You are gonna have to solve your own problems here

I am not gonna get involved with shit like this on BHW as this is pretty shitty of flickson to personally attack me for mentioning facts and my opinions

I am calling you flickson as you are like a bad flick on tv late at night when you came home with too much too drink and there isnt anything else on.

Dude.. if the network was PRIVATE there wouldn't be any DUPLICATES.. your argument is totally invalid.

You said in your reply to wilson too something like - The client should PM to make sure the network is owned by the seller. lolwut? If a seller is advertising a service as a PRIVATE blog network why on earth would a client have to pm them to be double sure it is actually private.

YES it can happen with SAPE because sape isn't a PRIVATE blog network lol

And yes you are calling a spade a spade in your own round about way.. the issue here was duplicate posts - This should NOT happen in any way shape or form with a PRIVATE blog network. With SAPE yes of course it could happen.. with a PBN it shouldn't be happening. Start calling them PUBLIC blog networks if you wish to go down that route.

I'm not going to get into a back and forth or in the middle of this nonsense. I think you need to relax a little too your temper gets the better of you at times.

We shouldn't all be at each others throats over this. We're a community here and should act like one.

I couldn't be bothered reading the whole thread (sorry if my reply makes no sense as a result) just throwing my hat into the ring saying that I don't think it is good to have 10 sellers reselling the same service. It puts you at a MASSIVE advantage because that gives you 10 slots to be clogging up the front page of marketplace results. It is smart, clever thinking to have that many threads but it's also rife for abuse and it means that sales get made not on the basis of great customer service but, like Google results, mere visibility.

BHW staff, I think you need to be careful. I know you're banking from the marketplace section, but I would treat it as a long-term asset, not a churn/burn. Maybe you'll make less money in the short term by having stricter rules and such, but you'll protect the credibility and health of the section if you focus on creating an environment that fosters quality services.

That was more or less my main point before people (you know who) derailed the thread with other issues.

The problem is not reselling at all.

The problem IS selling absolute shit to people.

BHW has become a race to the bottom in the BST section which is why I pulled my BSTs long ago and will just focus on my own sites. It is about quantity not quality anymore because people cannot afford it.

Since finding good PBN domains is becoming harder and harder to find now days, well hard to find them fast anyways... I've used most of these so called PBN networks on BHW to save me time. Most of them are shit and not private at all but there are a select few that have provided me with very good rankings including some top spots for competitive keywords. I hate using them but sometimes they save me so much time. So although most of them are complete shit, the good ones come in handy... sometimes.

Thanks matsta.

So, that went weird. To address the main points:

Last time I checked it was not against bhw rules to resell?

here's what we expect in regards to reselling.

All sellers on the marketplace must either own or manage the service and provide added value. So for example: reselling sape links that you filter, check and have the ability to manage the service if your primary source fails - this is fine.

Picking up a service from fiverr and reselling it here as it stands - not fine.

I'm not going to get into a discussion on the quality of the service vs the cost. Spammy, low quality services have their place alongside backlinks from top tier content on authority sites. Our main criteria is that the service is accurately described, so a buyer can make an educated choice on what fits their needs and whether it's a reasonable price. We're not able to hand-hold every single noob on the site and tell them that a service is good or bad for them. Aside from the fact there's not enough hours in the day, the advice I offer isn't generally what they want to hear.

Errr there is one thing wrong with your logic nanexo - SAPE sellers are clearly stating that they are SAPE links, not sites owned PRIVATELY by them, so clients know exactly what they are getting in to. This neatly sums up the dangers of a group of people advertising their BSTs as independent services. It hurts everyone involved - the buyers, legitimate sellers/providers and the value of the Marketplace as a whole.

Yes - when you buy a service, you should know what you're getting. Resellers fronting like they're providing an independent service is an issue because if the source stops, then the reseller has no way to upfill the service themselves, the buyers have no recourse and everyone loses.

So if a service is being resold, with value added to it by the reseller, then it should be clearly stated. As before, throwing markup on a service you're not touching, can't guarantee quality and have no way of managing supply - we don't want these sellers on the marketplace.

I couldn't be bothered reading the whole thread...

Well, at least you read a couple of posts before jumping in - thanks for the warning. I think many here are under the impression that we just look at a marketplace thread, say "eh, close enough" then approve it. 70% of my time here all day, every day is spent reviewing marketplace threads before deciding whether to approve. I'm sure you'll be surprised at the amount of sellers complaining about me, saying that I was unfair or too harsh, or was picking on them when I rejected their thread.

However, it's a good discussion, so I'll post a thread on the feedback forum shortly, detailing the process I go through when reviewing services. I'm happy to answer any questions on the review procedure from my point of view and, as always, if you've got a good idea or suggestion, please share it. Link will follow when live.

Quick note: I'll clean this thread up again - any arguments on the new thread won't be tolerated.
