Amazon Affiliate - 6k Monthly

My suspicion has been confirmed. The live data is great, but it breeds paranoia.

Danno, how does your Cyber Monday usually compare to BlackFriday?

This is my first year doing Amazon since 2012 so I'm not really sure what to expect. The whole of November has been pretty good for me though, especially the week leading up to Black Friday. Around the start of the month I was averaging $500 a day but this past week I've averaged about $1200 a day with more on Black Friday. What I'm selling though is popular for Christmas so year round my earnings will be alot less than that - this is just a nice bonus!

Good job man. I have a few questions. I hope you'll respond.

Do you have "filler" articles, without amazon affiliate links on your website?
And do you publish on your blog 1000+ words articles ?

Same for me, the first 2 weeks of November were good but sales sales picked up even more after the 14th. I think sales are going to increase until middle of December and then decline from there. $1,200 a day, that must feel nice.

Website #2 - Somehow I just snagged a very valuable niche relevant link from a DR70+ website everyone has heard of. I contacted the article writer and demonstrated the value of my website. After they seemed reluctant, I offered them a couple hundred dollars and soon after that, the article writer offered to add it for free. Definitely got lucky on this one, even has relevant anchor text.

Website #1 - Chugging along. Made $300 so far today, but should make more as the day isn't over. Currently at $5,400 for the month of November.

I made over $1,000 yesterday! Ordered Items: 150 | Clicks:900 | Conversion Rate: 16%

I'm currently at $6,400 for the month however I'm confident that I really made 7k-8k as I still have 180 items that haven't been shipped.

Curious to see how December sales compare to November.

Can you give some tips on how you create your outreach strategy to get backlinks? Do you use social media?

PS Wrote you PM 7 days ago or so.

I contact other webmasters and owners in my niche and I ask for a link or offer something in return. An article about their product, some $$$, anything. It's a numbers game, if you need 10 quality back-links but only 1/100 webmasters will follow through, I would simply contact 1000 webmasters.

To give you an idea, I'll email or try to contact 50 people in a today and maybe five will respond, and of those 5, maybe 1 will link to me. You can increase your odds by providing a more humane, heart-warming email and you can increase your adds significantly by only looking for others that have already offered a guest post or something similar.

It's just hundreds of monotonous emails that have been optimized to get a response. From there, it's much easier to persuade/figure something out.

I do same thing for my clients in my country but it's a lot easier when you know everyone locally and you can call : ) Money works all the time. For global internet it's another story, it's quite normal to get one OK link out of 50-100 e-mails.

It is just impressive how you went so far with one affiliate website. What is your products price range you promote in your website? They are more high end, medium end or low end?

I recently started an amazon affiliate site with some moderate success. I keep running into an issue though. Do you make a unique article for every single long tail? I'm currently grouping 3-4 related long tail keywords in one large article 1500+ words. I find that when I do this, I end up with only a 15-20 page website as I run out of keywords.

I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on grouping long tails or making a separate article for each and every one.

General/in-depth content page (pillar), supporting long-tail keywords targeted pages as separate pages. Pillar can have all of these keywords if needed but without too much in-depth research, keep that for supporting pages. My take.

Just curious about whether or not you had problems with real time reporting yesterday? Myself and a few other affiliates had 0 sales listed in our accounts for most of yesterday. At the end of the day some sales did start coming in, but only about 1/5 of what we expected for December. Hopefully today things are back to normal.

wow, your result is very good.
you also seem to get a good success on outreach.
I hope i can follow your success path!
thank you for inspiring journey.

Yup Danno, yesterday the live reporting didn't seem to work until late that night. I had 3 orders when I went to sleep, and 64 when I woke up. Today seems to be the same, I have 0 orders reported so far which is most definitely wrong.

It's nice to be able to confirm these occurrences.

Great journey mate, really interesting to see someone succeed with Amazon. It motivated me to start working on a project too ;)

GL with the rest of your journey!

I have a website too. I am interested to know how you do outsourcing. Please share the details on how you do it.

Hey CGC...are you using silo structure for your website? Also how competitive is your niche?
I'm having a bit trouble in calculating kw comp. For example;

"electric shaver"
"best electric shaver"
"electric shaver reviews"
and other longtails...
Should we even consider "electric shaver" for competition or just "best electric shaver" and other such kws?

Where are you sourcing the written content? I've been a university grad here in the US for a couple months and have copywriting experience, blog writing experience and want to freelance a bit. But can't think of any place outside of Fiverr and Elance.
