I thought you might find this inspirational and also practical. It?s a TED Talk video by Simon Sinek about how to motivate people to take action (e.g., buy your thing) by connecting with them at a much deeper level than just your offer.

I?ve used this idea to pitch and land new business with clients selling in person and on the phone as well as to convert more sales online.
