Quick question about tier 2 & web 2.0

When building web 2.0s to boost money sites, should the money site backlink be placed inside the blog post that tier 2 links are pointing to? Or will it be alright to place it inside different posts that don't have tier 2 links?

I ask this because I have tier 2 links pointed at the first posts on some of my web 2.0s but would like to place some in future posts once they age a bit. I'm not sure if that's a good idea though if these posts won't have links pointing to them.

You could either link to the tier1 post or the property homepage (that either has the post featured with the link, or links to the post). I'd mix it up between the two.

So you're saying the backlink to the money site has to be connected in some way to the post with the Tier 2 links going at it?

So I could link the post with tier 2s to a newer post and place the backlink in the new post then right?

personally i dont mind if it's for different posts that dont have tier 2 links, as long as you put internal link structure correctly. i mean for example: your tier 2 links -> web 2.0 post A. then your web 2.0 post A should have a direct link to web 2.0 post B where post B link to your money site. However, i would mix them up. I mean some of my tier 2 links will point directly to web 2.0 post B while some others to post A and others.

Think of it like connect the dots.

You want the tier links to point directly to your money site link to be most effective.

I either build links to the web 2.0 homepage and make sure the money site link is on the homepage or I build links directly to the post url where the money site link is at.

It doesn't really matter, just make sure your money site link will stay wherever the tier links are pointing.

I usually create tier 2 directly to the blog posts with the links to my moneysite.

In order for you to benefit from your tiered linking structure, you will need to have backlinks pointed at your backlinks.
