At the moment I'm sending out 50 letters a week. I've landed a couple of new clients recently. I'll post more updates soon

Theres got got to be a scrapebox footprint that would do it, but I've not quite cracked it yet!

You don't need a scraper for that part, it's more important to send out slightly customized letters IMO.

Just like a lot of successful affiliate marketers (doing A/B testing, creating new LP etc.), running an offline business is no different.
There is no doubt that many of us are very busy once business kicks off, especially at the beginning of the venture.

Thats cos ORM is a sh*t biz model, a complete time suck, there are FAR better ways of making MOOLA...

This is one way to do it, but it's a LOT more time consuming that the tool I have. I can scrape mutliple locations, filter my list down to exactly what I want and then export my list to excel, it saves me hours!
Yeah man, I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, I'm working on making my scraper better and a few other exciting things which I don't want to announce just yet!
I've picked up a couple more clients since my last update, things are going well, but slower than I'd like because I'm working on other things as well.

Well that's your experience and your opinion man. Meanwhile some of us are making good money from ORM, the beauty of it is, once you land the client, there's very little monthly work that has to be done for the amount of money you're making from each client.

this is very interesting. although I'm pretty sure I already know the answer I am curious if you need a business licence when starting up a venture ( in the US) like this? I would assume so, or atleast it wouldn't hurt to get one just in case. In the near future I will have the opportunity to quit my 5-9 job while still receiving a passive income, I think I am going to research more into this and see how well it would work out in my area. thank you for the great read, and who knows maybe if things work out your success will lead to the success of others!

No, you don't need a business license to start, your client can pay you under your personal name. I always suggest doing this before you go through the hassle of registering a business (same money and time).

True. But it depends on your strategy and target market.
If you are just testing the waters and/or don't think this would be a long term endeavor, don't bother.
While not necessary, for some markets, having a business and a matching website might give you better image/legitimacy in their eyes - especially if you want to position yourself as a thought leader. These things just help make the sale, and may open the door to bigger clients.
Plus a registered business (e.g. LLC is simple and common in the US) gives you liability protection. Of course, if you have nothing, then there is no protection benefit to setting up an official business.
FYI, in the US, Legalzoom does LLC for $150 + state fees - its cheapest plan. So, not a lot of money, for a US based venture.

Great points. I agree, one should definitely register a business license in a long run (not to mention about the tax savings etc.)
However, if you're just testing the water, dont bother for now. Even tho registering a business is cheap but you have another tax filing to do at the end of the year (and IRS/CRA takes this very seriously). I have to pay my accountant over $5k per year to file my corp tax, filing, book keeping and more. And I am consider just a small business!
