Website 2: Grabbed a decent, niche relevant backlink today. I had to add an article about their product, but what I did was only include a picture with their brand on it so I didn't actually link back to them. This way the link juice is all mine and it looks less like a purchased/traded link.
I'm trying to purchase larger articles now, 2000 words +. My current rate is around $100 per article, but I think that's worth it. The content is well written, although not entirely original. But in the end, I don't think content needs to be 100% original, so long as it's conveyed in a more organized manner or is easier to understand than the competitions.
Even though my individual reviews are outsourced, I'm still going to write the blog/helpful guides as visitors hold these to a higher degree of importance.
I choose niches that I don't care about and know very little information on. Therefore, when I am writing articles on something new, everything is written in plain easy-to-read English. This also prevents me from glazing over information that might seem obvious and non-important when in reality, to someone new on the topic, is very useful.
There are a lot of "Best XXXX" phrases in my niche. Almost too many that I'm timid about writing 6 different articles starting with the same "Best XXXX". I was thinking about starting a new silo for "Best" articles, but decided against that because I think it's weird and seems scammy or low quality. Instead I plan to incorporate other helpful, less competitive articles while occasionally including a "best XXX" article. I believe that "best XXXX" is one of the most profitable phrases for an affiliate to target. Therefore each "best XXXXX" article will me 2000 + words.
Website 1: I had 3 links lined up for November, but each required a blog article. I sent them all the same one, so I hope that isn't a problem. I'm on the 2nd page for a 35,000/month keyword, if I can make it to the first page before November ends, I'll make beaucoup bucks.
One link has a DA of 70 something, the other 50 something and the other 50 something. They are all niche-relevant, so I think my website should get a good ranking after these are published. Two of which are being posted now, the other will be posted in the middle of November.
