Sooooo I'm new to selling on eBay and I know that PayPal holds funds when receiving payments especially or specifically when you are a new seller. My question is, if I mark package as shipped and provide the tracking number for the shipment, will PayPal release the funds immediately?

Paypal usually doesn't hold the funds, in the beginning atleast. I sold for over 40,000 $ before paypal started holding my funds, and that was because of suspisious behavior. ( I took the funds out of my paypal account as soon as they came in ) And that ended with paypal holding 30% of everything i earn for 180 days. ( Yeah, it sucks ) So if you play your cards right paypal won't hold anything.

PayPal are holding funds from me right now. Sold several real, legit items on eBay.
They will hold the cash for x amount of days or until the buyer has confirmed they received the item.

I have 100% (almost 60 feedback) positive feedback on eBay and have never had an issues with PayPal before.

You guys are both on opposite sides of it? They're had to be something that triggers them to do this. Cause I made my first sale on something in August I believe, and they held the funds right away. It was pending, if I can remember correctly. This is a huge issue for me.

How does one prevent them from holding the funds? Especially if you are just starting to sell..

When will they stop putting 21 day holds on your payments? That's the question I would like answered! Is there a certain amount of days or something where they stop?

All this conditions need to be fulfilled:

-> It's been 90 days or more since your first sale,
-> You have more than 25 sales transactions,
-> More than $250 total sales
-> Your seller performance rating is standard or above.
I feel like the only requirement that would be the hardest to meet would be the 25 sales transactions. What if you have 3 out of 4

Is this only with Ebay sellers or anyone using paypal? Because I have never heard of it before

My account is almost 5 years old
I have 60 100% feedback, well over $250 worth of sales
My selling performance is above standard

They are still holding my funds.

5 years old....and they're still holding your funds?? You must've done something?

No thanks Insprion....I'm really not trying to loose my money

if your package is delivered faster you should get your payment faster.
