Best hosting under 10$ per month for wordpress blog

Personally I recommend A2 hosting as being very fast and very suitable for wordpress. I guess they are slightly more expensive than some other providers but they are worth it.
Alternatives would be hostwinds who are also very good and also host-stage.
Edit: havnt used linode - I did look at them recently and was going to sign up but from what I could see they have a model similar to amazon aws and it seemed just a bit too technical for standard hosting.

Just migrated to Digital Ocean, ($5 Plan)
At starting I was like what the heck my website was down for like hours and hours.
Everytime I was contacting support they were like "You should upgrade plan" but I heard from others that a simple WP blog can be easily hosted at $5 plan with no issues.
My main issues was that mysql was crashing everytime resolved that later on with monit. Its works great now.
Havent used Linode. But would be glad to get more answer on this.

Nope Not that hard Yes you need to research a bit.
I too had several doubts before. but I got it to work Just follow the steps given at digital ocean knowledgebase
If you are looking to spend like $10 you can directly choose the 1 click wordpress installation
but if you wish to go with $5 plan install debian or anyother that you want and you will be okay.

I don't have any problems with them for now. After yeaers of using godaddy hosting(stupid I know) I'm really impressed with hostnine

I am not using that package because it's an offer I received from them a few days ago, and at that time I already had a hosting plan with their sister site (HTN). You can host unlimited websites in this plan. This is only for a limited time, so...

Go to the top of the web hosting section on the marketplace and read the post about hostgator.
You'll find out that most the options being discussed are one and only company.
Linode is not, but then again there is zero advantage over Amazon AWS.
Amazon's entry level EC2 instance is U$ 9 a month, plus you get a bunch of free hosting in the beginning, so you may want to have a look.

I will not settle for shared hosting if I where you.
Shared hosting usually means sharing resources on oversold server and sharing the same IP with 100s or 1000s of other sites.
If you have spike of traffic they will usual slow down your site or bring it down and much more other problems that I don't wanna mention.
You have a lot of VPS that are soled with pre-installed CMS like wordpress, joomla, etc. if you don't know how to do it your self. At least you will get a dedicated ram, cpu, storage and IP, and the best part is you can host how much sites you want if the VPS can handle it.

Digital ocean is great. Start off with a single $5 box, throw as many sites on it as desired. Migrate sites to new servers as they grow in activity, but the rest can sit on a main cheap server. Shove off high storage items to aws if needed.
Shared hosting is cheaper, but starting off at 5 bucks you can setup your own private shared host if you know your way around a server. Or pay someone to manage or set it up for you. They don't market as a production host, but they are not a bad choice for it really.

I'm using www.webuzo.net have no issue at all , offshore with high privacy protection (no logs <3) + accepting bitcoins.
No lag , no crash no B.S
I spotted now that they have start a Halloween promotion for new customers -31% for first month (so sad I cant use it heh).
20GB SSD 1GB DDR3 RAM 1 CPU for 11.42$ first month and 16.57$ after is pretty good price for such stable service (semi-managed - you need to have some basic knowledge but with the webuzo panel from webuzo.com is like a game to manage everything )

I'm not good with maths but I'm pretty sure that 36 days uptime is more than 99.999999% uptime for 1 month .
