Hey guys, so I am new to IM and have been here almost a month. Within that month I have read a lot and learnt a lot, I still have a long journey ahead but I just thought I might as well start now and give this thing a go. I have seen so many comments from people to other people saying "take action" "try it yourself" etc. So although I may be too new to IM to even think about giving it a go, I thought that at least I might learn something through my experience which will help my future trials. Who knows maybe I might even get lucky and make some money!
I am pretty broke but I am not relying on this to help me, I have a job and am able to set aside a small amount of cash to try things like this, it is becoming a bit of a hobby that could potentially help me out in the future with more knowledge and experience.
So I have read through a lot of methods and have mainly focused on newer ones that appear to be still getting results. I have read older ones and they sound awesome but for me I felt it best to start with something that seems easy for my knowledge and abilities and is also still relatively active.
I decided to go with a Facebook group method (not sure if I can mention which one but it will be pretty obvious from my description). I am basically going to sign up to a whole bunch of groups with some fake accounts, create a landing page for a product from warrior plus and share it around to all the groups to build an email list which i will promote more products. (there's a bit more to it but there is a whole post about the method you can read if you are interested)
I bought my first set of 10 Facebook burner accounts and from the method I am following I decided to do things a bit more manual than how they do it as their method requires using trials of software like ninja blaster and I don't want to waste the trial period on something that I will most likely screw up the first time so I'm waiting till I know a bit more. So although slow it seems to be the safest approach while trying it out. I started with one of my burner accounts and did it up to give it a bit of personality for example updating the bio and all the info and have been basically using it as a normal user would by updating status, sharing things and commenting.
I got accepted for a product I can use on warrior plus and after a little digging it appears to be quite a good and unique niche with a bit of potential so I went with it. I then began searching for and joining a whole load of groups related to the niche, there are quite a few with members in the 10's of thousands which looks promising. Also I added friends and have had loads of requests which I have just been accepting as I don't see the harm in it. So that has been my week for Facebook, just logging in morning and night adding related groups, accepting friend requests and updating the profile. it has been accepted into a lot of groups (considering I did this manually) over 50 with good amounts of members. Some are public and some are closed which I am guessing each will have its pros and cons with what I am planning on doing. As of yesterday I got a second burner account running doing the same thing with the same niche groups which is going strong.
OK now for the landing page... I signed up for the trial of getresponse which looks pretty cool and began to create my landing page, they have the option to create forms and I'm not sure on the difference (will look into it) but I made both anyway. To me they don't appear spammy and seem pretty good. so in the method I'm following, once they have the landing page then they put it onto their own site through wordpress and some plugins, I have no experience with this so I went with getresponse to host my landing page and form. As a trial I messaged my second burner account the link on facebook to see if it came out alright. It looks good however the image/thumbnail didn't display, just the text. Now I can't really move forward with this until I resolve that problem which I am still looking into. I used the debugger as most people recommend and it tells me "The 'og:type' property is required, but not present I don't know what that means yet but I am still troubleshooting when I get time.
For now I am still joining groups and will keep working on resolving the thumbnail problem and once that is done I think it is ready to start shooting out the landing page.
If anyone has any helpful recommendations or comments they are most welcome and I will keep this up to date with anything that happens
I hope you enjoyed reading this and I know it is very early days but hey at least I made a start and am giving it a go, I am keen and learning a lot through this already.
Thanks.
