Your guess would be wrong the majority of non ad-block users are people who don't use the site very frequently, the people who spend the most time on YouTube use ad-block.
Why the fuck would anyone with half a brain pay $9.99 a month when you can install adblocker for free?
YouTube has well and truly shot themselves in the foot with this one, more people are going to become aware of ad-blocker which means more people will install it, meaning less money for youtubers.
Low and Mid range Youtubers who have a decent subscriber count on their channel and social media account will get pissed off and look for more profitable platforms.
My guess is Dailymotion - there are networks that you can join that will put ads on Dailmotion videos.
If I was in charge of Vimeo or Dailymotion I would be rubbing my hands together because now is the perfect time to take down YouTube, find advertisers that can guarantee no ad-ware installations and low watch time 5 second ads together with a small advertisement under the video.
Then install a adblock adblocker.
