Noob desperately needs direction!!!

I have been searching for for weeks to figure out how to get views on my youtube videos. After exhausting months of using white hat methods, and finding the top players have suspicious traffic searches and embeds... I'd like to know what they know.

Is there anywhere that just explains, without people arguing about methods (no disrespect intended), black vs. white, is out of date to new google algorithms, and doesn't try to sell me some product that I don't trust... Is there anywhere I can go just read and understand what I need?

They're probably using services to pump up their stats. But some views are not safe.

Do you know what other methods I could use? such as how could I build safe backlinks? Is there anywhere I could read up to date methods to understand different methods of marketing? I am so confused by all of these threads.

I mean, some say use level 2 or 3 tier backlinks? Which I don't understand... and only use mid page rank embeds or backlinks... I don't want to take up anyone's time by explaining basics to what everyone considers a total idiot. Sorry... I just want to understand what people are talking about.

Well, you will just have to spends a few months on here until you settle down, sucessful IM can take many months even years to learn.
But the massive info overload doesn't make it any easier.

Are you trying to rank videos in youtube or google?
