Is traffic decreasing simply because you haven't been adding as many articles lately? Or have you been keeping the same pace?

Happened to me too, but there's no change in the content publishing frequency compared to earlier months. I suspect it happened because people are spending less in September, perhaps they're concentrating on their work after Summer holidays and also saving for the Christmas season. What do you think the reason is?

Even if I publish 30 articles today, these will take 2 months to rank good, for this reason I think the update rate is not directly proportional to traffic
I know this happens a lot of times (also it happened to my early sites), but then I realized that there are other factors at play as the age of contents
Could be an explanation, indeed ranking positions are constant and there aren't marked fluctuations.
I've a lot of seasonal products, both summer and winter products, perhaps summer are more than winter products.
I'm investigating but right now I can't find plausible explanations

Need to bump up your root domain power a little, everything else will rise.
And without going through the thread again are you using an affiliate link hider like elflinks?
One little thing like too many affiliate links and google will sniff you out as a potential spammer until you pass the age threshold, even with good content and internal linking, etc...

I think you are the right person to ask this question to..
I have a site that's ~2 years old, has 40 reviews and used to make ~$400 a month on amazon, but nothing has been done to the site (last article is jan 2014) and no SEO so obviously rankings have dropped and it's getting 5-10 hits a day. Now my thought is to update the dates of the articles? How Google will react to this? My main idea is that CTR is low because people see on Google how old the content is.
I only acquired this site a week ago, so don't Judge me for not updating the site.

But you can use both, depends what you want to give more importance to raising 1.3 timesWell, I've a lof of websites and never had problems with un-cloaked links.
When Google scans your website it will follow your "inner redirects" and will discover that are pointing to Amazon.
I think you can do it only blocking your redirects with Robots.txt but what Google will think about hidden inner links? Why you (webmaster) need to hide inner pages from scan and index?
Depends from your niche, my advice is to update your pages if there is something more you can add to beat your competitors.
Old contents, also written 4 years ago, are useful and you can decide to hide your date in SERPs
If products in your niche have new models you should update your contents anyway because you'll increase your conversion rate.

I check your directions but I just cannot find any keyword which would have your calculated score above 2. I find KWs with approx 10.000+ index pages which have 100-200 visits. Can you please help me how to use Semrush correctly or what KWs to search for.

10K Google Results are easy SERPs and your ROI will splash even with 200 visits a month (personal experience).
Don't expect to find SERPs with 10K Google Results and 5K searches a month, It would mean that in that SERP there is no market (not a rule but do you think that someone is waiting for you to make money ?)
The best keyword I ever found was a 12K Google Results with 1300 searches a month, now that blog is making € 200 a month with zero Seo effort and 3 .Blogspot.it pages...
But comparing millions of keywords I could not find better keyword.
My method to find profitable keywords on SemRush can be used to compare keywords to find best opportunities (relative concept, not absolute).
This means you do not have to consider the value in itself (2 or 200), instead with my method you put all the keywords on the same evaluation plan.
Order from biggest to smallest to obtain easiest keywords to rank fast.
To be effective, you need to compare big lists (I'm speaking about 1/2M keywords).
To do so I'm downloading a lof of reports, I unite them in a single file and then apply the formula (lists are from my competitors and from authoritative websites).
The more keywords you can compare and the easier it is to find profitable keywords, in fact these will emerge at the top.
Hope this will dispel your doubts

Hey OP. SEM Rush did quite a big update today and I was wondering how many more organic positions you are seeing now. One of my sites has about 80 unique articles and I am showing 100 more organic positions in SEM Rush than I was yesterday. Almost all of the new keywords are long tails so I figured you'd see quite an increase as well.

Holy words, do your tests, you will be surprised how much you can be effective if you try and do mistakes
I've a review website (informative) and I also tested Amazon shop website with near zero results (only few random conversions).
My businesses are all in WordPress and I think is the best effort-profit platform (you need few hours to setup all the functionalities
Here my screen after this update:
Nothing big (50 more keywords).
SemRush sucks for Italian market, hope has better reply with reality in the English language markets
The main problem is their crowler that scans SERPs every 3/4 days for Italy.
It is understandable because they can not have unlimited resources and those are spent on the most important SERPs neglecting those where there is less traffic

In regards to your review posts - how do you structure them with keywords and titles/headings?
For example, with the keyword "best blenders", would your h1 tag be "Best Blenders" and then would you have multiple h2 tags with the titles "Best Blenders for Smoothies", "Best Blenders for Milkshakes", "Best Blenders for Soup", etc?
Or would you write a seperate article for each?
I am wondering because wouldn't having the keyword "best blenders" in all the title tags cause an issue with SEO?
