IG new UNFOLLOWING limits / Temp blocks

If this is really it.. Then instagram will release the limits. Otherwise how will normal users and people not botting know, how to stay within limits. So it's only a matter of time.

This is a GOOD point. Maybe they will. I bet a lot of non-bot users are getting the temp ban.

And I tend to agree that the limit is not 300, I would think it would be over that... perhaps 600 with 6h interval between the 300 unfollows.

You should read the entire thread and look at the API, it's 300 per day. Confirmed by a dozen people who have been playing with this for the past few days.

300 / day is the limit aged or not-aged account, doesn't matter.

Can confirm, this is definitely happening to aged accounts.

The LIMIT seems to be 300 unfollows PER DAY (not per hour).

Over 300 per day, and you'll get a 24 hour temp ban.

New algorithm for Instagram

Guys - set your FL to 300 unfollows per day and you should be fine.

I hit the ban doing 230 unfollows today! I never reached 300. No way instagram could know that I was going to do over 300 in advance. People are being temp blocked doing 30 unfollows! So the delay here also plays a big role.

delay seems to be about 30 / HOUR before the temp ban from my tests.

I recommend everyone to start testing with the dupe accounts or the ones that don't matter much, if your account is huge don't risk it.

The API changed for everyone, not only new ones.

I think that these bans don't get the accounts flagged, it must be a limit like the one on Twitter when you follow more than 1,000 in a day, but we won't know until our dupe accounts reach a limit were they get permanently banned for being banned so many times or they just don't get banned at all for pushing those limits so many times.

I'm just sharing based on my observation... and also I don't see it as 24h ban, I can resume unfollowing earlier.

Are you kidding? API limit is up to 60 follows/unfollows per hour. Today I have unfollowed over 430 ppl with no problems testing different settings. Tommorow I'll try with even faster settings.

I haven't heard of any perma bans for being temp banned on this unfollowing issue.

It seems following hasn't been affected (or the other actions), So you can spam the shit out of those (with low intervals) while unfollowing at a specific interval, if IG doesn't block me at my current intervals (it seems it won't), I should be able to unfollow up to 1000 people per day, if I keep the following rates at a 1000 per day, my accs should still observe a decent-sized growth.

I'm sorry but I'm not going to disclose my intervals quite yet, first because I'm not 100% positive it is bullet-proof, secondly, it took me these 3-4 days of temp bans and testing throughout several accounts to figure out one that might pass under the radar, and while it might pass under the radar to me, it might not pass under the radar to you.

If you were using intervals lower than 30 seconds, raise it considerably!

Plus, Instagram isn't yet playing with permanent bans, and I don't think they will. These temp bans should be enough to be a rock in the path of many spammers.

EDIT: It really isn't bulletproof, I just got a temp ban on an account I was running all day unfollowing into a time range I thought to be passing under the radar...

I think they're loosing a lot of active people simply because of those hard set limits a lot of people are switching to twitter I think.

This last part here says it all. The code isn't cracked yet then. Patience is a virtue I guess

No doubt they will loose a lot of users on this. Come on man seriously who is going to pay for ads besides those promoting business. And these people aren't gonna pay high prices either. Why should they when ordinary people leave instagram when facing these extreme limitations and those using instagram for business purposes rely their business on these people, who eventually will leave the platform.

I really can't see the issue here. They got their api limitations. Why do they care whether people follow these limitations organically or by botting.

Glad i ran across this thread, Ive been trying to figure this for the last couple days with no solution! Well it looks like instagram has rolled out new limits for unfollowing, and as said by others it looks like it lands in the 300-400 ball park. I am currently running 4 accounts, and i got hit with the temporary bans as follows.
1)After 330 unfollows
2)After 417 Unfollows
3)After 303 unfollows
4)Still going at 445+ (will update later)

If someone figures out a solution, please post! If there is a Skype group account please add me rsj604.

Not sure how that is possible, bc i was was using practically the same settings for all 4 accounts and the other got stopped at the 300-400 mark. I can say for sure its not exactly 300 per day, but i haven't figured it out. Also after 12 hours(might have been shorter, i just checked and 12 hours have passed) i have been allowed to unfollow on the 3 accounts that received temp bans on again. Will update how many i can get to before getting another temporary ban. It might be possible to to reach 700-800 unfollows a day, if running on a 24hr cycle. It might be 300-400 unfollows per 12 hrs, 700-800 per day.

Any update? It's clearly different accounts but I want to know how IG is doing it, is it by how long ago you had a temp ban? how many followers you have or following, how often do you unfollow...

Hey, I am still currently testing the delays but so far i was able to unfollow roughly 650-750 on all 4 of my accounts in 1 day, after the temporary bans was removed. I think you can unfollow, 1000 or more a day still with the correct delays running 24/7 i will report back tom, when i know more.
