I have just started having problems with chrome, tabs don't close now and the screen freezes. I have to close chrome completely then restart it and reload when I says chrome didn't shut down properly. Just wondering if anyone else is having problems. I read somewhere that there was a update for chrome. I am using IE now and no problems at all and it's faster, but I do like chrome.

It happen, you can reinstall it or use a software like "cc cleaner" it's must have for clean cookies/temp files and other things which can produce some bug, IE is very slow compared to firefox

I use mcafee cleaner twice a day that cleans cookies, temp files etc. I have also reinstalled it but nothing. I don't want to lose my bookmarks but I think i'll have to do a complete uninstall and start again

Might want to run some sort of malware checker and make sure your chrome version is up to date.

You can save your bookmarks on your gmail adress in the option or just export it in a file, after that yes I suggest you a full uninstall and reinstall

thanks for that I had no idea about being able to save bookmarks from chrome. i'm going to do that and then uninstall it. I have the current version installed and it's only started happening in the last week or so. Thanks

thanks for the help, I have just exported my bookmarks file so I can now go ahead and uninstall chrome, I will then do a new install.

It happens to me most of the time try to update new version of chrome or uninstall it and install new version. My screen usually goes blank or black in color then i updated mine. Now its perfect for me.

Chrome consumes a lot of RAM, so if you have low RAM installed on your system then this might be the reason for this. I have 4 GB Ram on my PC and it's working fine, never experienced any such problems. :)

Chrome uses more pc resource than firefox, If you have low ram & low processor then best to go for firefox.

Check your chrome version, if it is old update it, Also try to clear cookie through setting or use ccleaner.

i also have same problem i unistal and install latest version but same problem chrome does't open

i guess chrome is also caught up in the evolution of browsers, at first they're good and after some time all goes to shit with the newer and newer updates when it supposed to help :)

i also noticed some freezing lately, never before
it also freezes on Android OS on my tablet, something is definitely not right with it lately

btw chrome updates itself by default, no user intervention is required

what i do if chrome is not working i would just uninstall and install again
or i would upgrade it

Plenty... It opens 10s of instances seen only in task manager. :( yelp.....er... Help!

I don't use Chrome, don't like it. Firefox all the way.

Check your extensions. Maybe disable them all, see what happens then enable them one by one.
