Also, I was a bit worried about the link profile of the domain, but Josh was quick to look into it. However, there was nothing wrong with it so I just went ahead and registered it.

TF: 23
CF: 27
DA: 27
PA: 39
PR: 2 (although I don't care about it)

Stats are good and backlink profile is clean. Referring domains were a tad bit low but overall, this service is value for the buck, considering the market price of ~50 USD per expired domain, excluding registration charges.
