Well, this fb ads/teespring stuff is a complete waste of time and money.
I got an ad campaign running. More than 800 (!) likes, 100s of comments like "I have to get this", "I want this", "XYZ, this is for you".
And what? A measly 3 (!) sales, so that means NO sales and wasted ad budget because they only start printing if you reach at least 5 sales.
So 800 likes and 200 "I want this" are not enough for more than 3 sales ....
The reason is very clear. They go to the website (Teespring/Teezily etc) and they see they CANNOT buy this, they only can RESERVE it, and if minimum buyer amount is not reached it won't even get printed .... so what? They are LEAVING the site without DOING anything.
If I want to buy a t shirt, I want to BUY it, and not reserve, wait for 10 days, maybe get it, maybe not get it ....
Facebook ads are so expensive to "test" this project. You must have some experience before throwing some dollars.
Thanks for the guide OP! I've been trying to convert and only managed to get "one" sale ( or one reservation ). Am I targeting the wrong audience? I've used quite alot of money on facebook ads, so im not sure where i am going wrong here. I believe my designs are not that bad seeing as I have design experience. I'm experimenting mainly in the "fitness" niche. Any tips or suggestions??
I ran a few campaigns and ended up switching t shirt companies. Then I finally made enough sales to earn most of my investment back. Even though I ended up technically in the red I believe I found a way to make this method with for me. I am running another one now using what I learned from my first attempts. It took me four designs before I ended up with something that sold. If things work out and the small success wasn't a fluke I will post results and more details.
How about asking you family and friends to buy the first 3 shirts ? just give them 5$ extra..
