twitter app/bot or an easier way to do this effective trick?

So i recently came across a post where the guy targeted the users with huge follow and same niche and waited for a new tweet and once it got like 100+ RTs he just followed all of the people who retweeted it, i tried the same and followed 800 people and ended up gaining 200ish follows on just one account, so if i had say 10 accounts and did this, by basic calculation i would gain 2000 ( or more ) followers combined and in 100 days reach 200K, but the thing is following people manually is tiring and slow, i know to automate massfollow on a list of followers but this seems tricky any help? Also if you have any doubt i'll be glad to help thanks.

i didn't find any ready made bot either, tried doing it with twitter api, keep reaching limits, when i do it manually i can follow upto 1000, probably going to make it work with a macro :]

Unless I am mistaken (and I just checked) you cannot scrape more than 20 or so of the retweeters of a tweet from the website. Similar numbers IIRC from the API.


The website will also give you likers and repliers, which are not possible from the API. (you can attempt to try and get repliers from the API, but it is a hacky way of gettin tweets with a mention, then filtering the "in_reply_to" field which may not give you all (or any) of that tweets repliers.



But why wait for 100 retweeters? Just keep pulling the latest X number of tweets from profile Y, scrape the likers / repliers / retweeters and action on them. That way, you can actually get more of the retweeters. As it shows the most recent retweeters. So when there are 25 retweeters, the site shows different to when there are 100 retweeters.

thanks, i'll try Twitterdub, and btw the mobile twitter app can get upto 100 recent retweeters, and after following them i clear my app data from settings ( android ) and refresh the tweet again instantly, which gives even more recent people, but this is very very boring and hard to do manually.

I have the same question/comment as rootjazz, Twitter only shows the last 20 retweets and favorites on any tweet. Not sure ow you are able to see up to 100, but I would be very interested in knowing how. Even if it is manually.

Hi, I don't really understand the big difference between making the effort to do this, versus just following good looking followers of a similar niche large twitter account? Is it because you say you got 200 followbacks on 800 follows, making the followback rate around 25% versus the organic followback rate of around 8-11% the other way I mentioned? yes, i forgot to mention, i even gain 200+ by massfollowing (randomly), but this trick improved the engagement, it tripled the amount of retweets i get, thanks for pointing it out.
