So basically this dude makes $10,000 a month selling $10 potato with anonymous message on it. WTF. Why could I think of this lol. check it out its called Potato Parcel. What are your thoughts on this?

Its amazing. But obviously fad markets doesnt last long term.

lol, that is funny... i guess idea was from 9gag

Am I wrong or is this the glitter guy again?

I thought same as you. Maybe he is. He might had the list he collected from glitter site and he knew those people are dumb and will buy what he sells.

But, I'm not sure on this, cos the glitter guy was from AU if I'm not wrong and I have no info on the potato guy.

Either way, good he is banking on it.

yeah, great idea to make quick money. But in such cases you must be careful not to have too many products in warehouse bcs this is not a lasting business.
It remains me on eat a bag of dicks method.

I think he'll make the most money by selling his site to some newbie like the guy who sold the glitter site.

Always such simple ideas end up being easily implemented, and quickly cashed in on, but can this really be a lasting business model?

Funny thing is, he basically stole glitter-guy's idea and tweaked it up a little bit. Mirin hard.

This comes to show that ideas can be very often reused, and all it takes is just a tiny bit of imagination to make things look "fresh".

Yeh and one proud owner was dumb enough to take a pic of her potato with the envelope that it arrived in showing her full address for everyone to see! One born every minute i think!

And people are actually buying this? That amazes me!

I feel like this might have been mentioned somewhere else on this forum. Someone made a joke about selling pencil shavings

Lesson to learn? Any product + great marketing = $$

If he really make 10.000$ a month with this method, I must say that American people really have to much money. 9.99$ one potato. OMG

so simple but so awesome. I believe the best opportunities are usually hidden in the simple things that we ignore so it is usually up to us to be creative and seize the opportunity. Thanks for sharing.

only way he will keep making money is if he sells the site

There's was a guy named Kyle Waring in Boston selling snow online last Winter. He's been featured on CNN, NBC Nightly News etc. Website (ShipSnowYo) is still around and is now shipping Snowman Kits.

He's even outsourced the snow... "Until Boston receives snow, all of our packages are sent from Vermont or Colorado." ;)
