I have an uncle who sold used panties in Japan when he was younger. He would split half with each of the girls who provided the used "panty". He made enough money to live a lavish lifestyle partying every night and ended marrying one of his providers and opened a store selling orchids. You can make money out of anything literally.

I guess sometimes the most obscure things are popular. I used to buy instant coffee and sell it to kids at school, and for me being in 10th grade at the time it was good money.
