sanbox for new site a myth

I start building links to my new site and within 1.5 months it already started to rank. I wonder why people wait to start link building. Btw, I do have 10 unique content before i do any off-page seo.

I have a site at the moment which I think is experiencing some kind of 'sandbox' - I've put around 30 articles on for well researched topics, built some good links, and though I wasn't expecting to be number one, I've got an internal page at number 200+ for my main keyword.

I have just put up a website two weeks ago - content is NOT 100% original (site has about 30 pages). 3 days after it went live, it's now ranking in the top 20 for most of the targeted keywords (all low comp). Immediately after the site was ready, i started building links to it. So no sandbox here, but i have to say the on page optimization is spot on.

There is no sandbox, as mickyfu said, it's just a "term" invented by those people who have no idea what they are doing in SEO.
