No, I have his old username but i don't know his new username and for that reason he is trying to scam me

I didn't get scammed. Some one trying to do that. However he accepted that he changed his username

I don't think you can find out his new username unless you have access to his email or instagram account. Or you can get somebody else to ask him.

Go to edit option if you want to change your user name I think this might help you.

I don't really think there is way to find out his new user name, unless you know him personally. If there is a way, I don't know what it is!
