[Method] Amazon to eBay Drop-shipping Done Right! Spoon Fed! *Long/Detailed*

A lot of these questions, almost all of them, can be answered by reading through the thread. I have responded to numerous people about how I choose which items to sell. Please read through the thread mate.

I recommend paying for a store, yes. You get a discount on listings and more free listings per month with one. Also, I did not do that shipping technique. I offer free 2 day shipping on all my items and I believe that helps me get sales. People want their items as soon as possible, so getting that free is special to them.

Once again, please read the whole thread. If you don't, you will miss out on a lot of learning.

Belive me I read this topic from A to Z I took screen shots from many posts. I did my homework but I have feeling I'm missing something.

for last week spent 7-8 hours a week for researching and start selling 4 days ago. So far 3 sell which I think it's not bad at all for start.

But finding & listing items are SO time consuming. on The other hand ebay charges 30 cents per listing. according to you I have to have hundreds of items in each category to make this work. you said you listed 3000 items at first. It means you spend $900 at first? How much time did you spent per day AT FIRST?

AGAIN, Thank you so very much for you time & info :)

eBay has many weeks where listing is free, so I use those to list a lot more than normal, but other than that I pay a small amount monthly for an eBay store, which gives more free listings and discounted listings when you have to pay.

I have already stated this in the thread once. You would have known that if you truly read it.

Hello Everyone!

I'm here to report that this Method is working!

I reached my 10th sale in 5 days (2 sale per day) and made around 50 bucks in just 10 days. I had NO knowledge on selling on eBay or any other kind of IM what so eve! I only used my personal account which I used it to buy staff from eBay till now. The only related knowledge I had is knowing a little bit of HTML coding so I can make my Ads nice, colorful w/ pictures. Please note that this is not a thing that you start making money overnight. you have to spend time, have patient and do your research to find items, but it is possible and it's working! I sold 10 items with only listing only 42 items. So imagine what is it possible to make with a bit more experience and research.

One more time, I am not a genius or having any prior experience on IM. The only thing you need for this is time, research & patient and if you are new like me you need a little bit fund at first to surpass Paypal 21 days money keeping. (I used my CapitalOne CC which I applied for it long ago and never used it).

Thank you Lewy2k! :)

Shoutout to lewy2k for this method... ive taken the last few weeks to do a lot of in depth research and learning and have successfully went from nothing to over 20 new sales totalling over $3000 in purchases. Spent time creating a great listing layout, editing and improving listing titles... even had my FIRST piece of software built to do some of the things i couldn't automate myself. Now im price tracking, and doing a ton of filtering by my own standards to find the best things to list. im sure everyone comes up with their own formula for this part.

Already figured how to scale up , got a lot of and now its just about time and number crunching to see what products work best for me.

Biggest issue so far is amazon being kinda shady about the prime accounts, im guessing u shouldn't sign up for more than one at a time, as multiple accounts get you flagged.

When u sign up for a new amazon account do you use your actual name and address from the billing every time? Im wondering if i got flagged cause i sign up under a different name than the credit card i use. Once i was locked out of 2 accounts, and somehow got them to reopen them, but i guess i cant re-sign up for a free prime account until the current one expires completely. (more of a theory than a question) Its got me leaning twoards doing Free Shipping without mention of 2 day shipping.

I know you said you keep a file for your tax records.... my question is.. did you fill out a state tax table for ebay? that way when amazon charges you tax on an item because of its shipping destination, the ebay buyer foots the bill for that too? ive been thinking about doing this because the tax changes the margins... but i dont wanna collect taxes unless i go LLC with this thing.

Anyway some other issues to watch out for that ive come across if you are doing this are...

1. Amazons deal of the day is random, if the list an item you have listed, you ARE GOING TO SELL! however the price you have up will usually always be less than theirs because it just went on sale... or 2, it will go out of stock.

2. As mentioned before Taxes are added to some shipping destinations, including KENTUCKY , where the Global Shipping Center is.... if you are shipping globally through ebay, this will change your projected margins depending on the destination.

3. Make sure you arent shipping to Alaska, hawaii, or any of the other US territories such as the US Virgin Islands... shipping is high as phuuuuck to these places, and if ur not paying attention during listing some orders will come through without extra shipping added, and without the destination being Ebays Global Shipping Program.

Again, thanx Lewy2k thanx for planting the seed that helped this tree of knowledge sprout some leaves for all of us.

I'm from Croatia, is this method possible for me to do?

Hello and congratulations to you and thank you for sharing it with us.

Hey I have a questions for you:

1. you said you made over $3000 selling 20 items. It means average price for an item is $150. To make consumers to trust to pay that amount of money on eBay needs an outstanding account with enough positive reviews, am I right? I was thinking to sell more expensive products which I can make more profit but I the thing is If people are going to spend that much money, they probably do some researches first so there is a good chance they find the better deal on Amazon (Lewy2k mentioned it as well, and recommended items under $100 for listing). Second is gaining trust which comes back to my first point asking you if you already have an outstanding account? - So what is your formulas and techniques to sell higher priced items on eBay? I sold 15 items totaling around $300, and honestly was kinda disappointed with myself when I read your post :(

and Amazon Prime part is my question as well. I'm using my personal account right now but if I continue its just matter of time they take away my prime and now accounting to you having same Primes at the same time flag you on amazon system! I am looking for a result as well. Anyone?

Looks like I won't double my profits.. Made about 74 dollars this month PURE PROFIT.. It's awesome and all, but I haven't had a single sale in 5 days, and I feel a little down. I don't necessarily feel down about not having a sale, but I feel pretty down because I've been working my butt off.. I have just a little over 240 items and have not made a single sale for 5 days. OUCH... They said June and July is a very slow month, but it could be more than that. Maybe because I'm pricing my items too high or people are just not interested or there's just too much competition. But I did do my research and my items are priced at 2 to 3 dollars below the seller's sold listings. When I list my items I don't check how much competition there is; I just look at the sold completed listing and check what date it was sold. If the item was recently sold and knowing I could profit, I would try to rank my items with different keywords, description etc and price it a little bit lower. Hopefully I'm doing everything right and August would pickup when I have about 450 listings.. My views are atrocious; the most views I got in a single item is 150.. 90 percent of my items views are around 7 to 20 views. OUCH..

Edit: If anybody know a stable tracking tool out there hit me up because my goal is to list around 5K items on ebay by the end of this year. Reason I asked is because I had a sale today but the item was out of STOCK, and I've never been this scared before. Luckily I emailed the buyer and showed him another similar item, and he was OK with it.. Made 50 cent from that. Anyways my point is this does take a lot of time and hard work.. It's very hard to find those profitable items, and I can see why newbies are researching 7 to 8 hours a day. But I gotta make this work because I see the potential and copying and pasting is all I know. Reminds of me of the 12th grade when I turned in an essay and completely plagiarized off of a textbook.. Who would have known that after high school graduation I'm practically doing the same thing.. That's another ouch... Oh well, as long as I can profit 2500 from this method alone I will feel somewhat successful Lol..

Thank-You for this Post. OP- How long would you say I should keep an item test listed before i scrap it? 1 week, 1 month?
Like how long should I wait before I move on from an item that isn't selling?

Somewhere earlier in the thread I stated what I do for state taxes. I don't charge them to eBay customers because I want to avoid having to pay them in each state when I file my taxes. I just lose out on that much profit. It does suck, but I just really don't have the time to deal with extra work.

1 Month

I'm looking to have my listing ship from location display"Multiple Locations". Problem is I don't see where I can edit this information. Is this something that even matters? Especially ii the item description mentions that the store ships from multiple locations.

Get around what? You'll still be getting paid through paypal
Ah ok, thank you. For some reason I thought eBay wasn't going to integrate PayPal anymore. Thanks for the detailed tutorial.

Does anyone know what Ebay customer support will ask for when you call them regarding the raise of the listing/selling limit?

Thanks in advance.

Lol dont be dissapointed, when I say that i really dig in, i mean it, so even though ive only been doing this a few weeks, ive put a lot of hours into figuring it out... Currently my 30 Day sales is sitting at $4214 .. But i have sold some high ticket items in there as well surprisingly... Ive sold 4 items for over 400 each. Secondly ive had my ebay account since around 2007 or so, my feedback was around 300 before i started this method.

To answer your question about amazon, My personal workaround is to stop using Prime, and to just use regular shipping so they wont terminate my account.

I've also been doing it for a couple of weeks and have 300 feedbacks already prior to dropshipping. So far I've sold only 8 items totaling around 1500 in sales. I have 250 listing and expect atleast 1 sale a day because I kind of believe in volume, but I'm literally not getting the sales I want. A sale every 5 day is horrible, so I must be doing something wrong. How many listing you currently have? What are your advice to get more sales? I know hot items sales fast, but i tend to avoid those items because of price changes and out of stock items. I have a blockage in my brain that doesn't let me think outside the box, so I pretty much spider off of sellers completed listing. I'm not sure if it's just a slow month or people are just not buying what I put up, but this kinda sucks because I worked really hard to list those items.

i have around 400 listings up.. to be honest though only about 5-8 listings are actually selling. But they are selling units, one in particular i have sold 15 of one and 9 of another.

From what i can tell, Hot Items are harder to sell. i usually avoid because the amount of competition and low margins that some of these people have set either they have found better sources or are using mass scale numbers to make their profit even at under $1 margins. More obscure items are easier to sell if they have great keywords and not many people selling the exact same item.

By doing free shipping and international shipping you also cut the number of competitors and increase your sales..... alot of my customers have been international. But i only ship through Ebays Global Shipping program.

Listings with 1 or 2 pictures tend not to sell. take that into account.

Other than that, work on your listing titles, categories, and the listing itself.

Right, I need to look into shipping internationally.. Thanks for the suggestion..

I sold 22 items in 1 week but my profit is between 10-15% of each item, that makes it 45 to 60 which is sucks I guess :( I don't know what else to do... I read everything was available on first 10 pages google search including any related topic in this forum. There are some technics to choose niches which I guess nobody going to talk about it or release guide for it. Most of the guide and technics out there are basic common sense which any human being with an average IQ would know it already. I guess there is a big part of this puzzle that I'm missing and it sucks because I don't know which part is that. I feel dumb :'( I really need this to work to able to continue my education. I'm not sure if I can continue going to school with my current financial situation. I don't want to work on retail for my whole life and I don't have rich parents who pays for my school and expenses. I really don't know what else to do :(

Try to find "complete package/everything included" set ups to sell. Or even bundle separate things together into one package... parts, books, everything.

You our can really mark up packages a lot. My highest markup is $85 on Amazon selling on Ebay for $199! I have to ship three separate things though which can get interesting.

Keep looking! Think bigger!!
