Why is it so hard to find a good hosting??

Whenever I need a new hosting (especially offshore) I spend hours and hours researching before I find a good one. Every single time it's the same story. And googling does not help at all. So I usually ask around what my friends use and go with recommendations instead of reading hundreds of threads on forums (there always will be on client who has problems and trashes the host, no matter how good it is).

Currently I'm with host4offshore for many months already and I like them. Almost no downtime at all, according to uptimerobot Both VPS and shared are good, but they ask to move to VPS when your traffic increases. Support is OK, works with you until the problems are solved (at least in managed VPS).

I also ordered shared on webcare360 but it's less than a month so I can't say much. Uptime is good so far.

You should know that the so called "reviews' are 90% FAKE even the WHT hosting review topics are fake. All is fake.. You pay what you get.

90$ For decent Dedi? High end dedi or machine from 2000?

The only thing I agree on what you say is 1. Don't take suggestions from hosts

Yes, there are fake reviews, just as there are anywhere but most people are bright enough to see through them. The forums I mentioned are pure hosting related so if people want to complain, they are the natural wateringholes that people will drift to. When people are pissed off, they will complain where the hosts get most of their business.

$90 will get you a decent box in this day and age - you need to look at the right companies. Yes some places will give you shite, but quite a few will give you a decent box with modern CPU and RAM etc.

In my many years as a host (we are talking 12 or 13 years of doing it - all sold up now but still dabble for me / friends) those rules have worked well for me. In fact, I think I only ever advertised a handful of times - the above points served me well when looking for dedicated servers. I was burnt a couple of times, learnt by the mistakes and now pass on the points to others.

its not an easy work to find a good hosting even i was in a great trouble with my site few month ago. but now i find NR Hosting and my problem solved you can try them for a boost

If you are interested in getting a quality hosting service, have it from a2hosting.com and serverlogix.com. Servers are well-balanced and support is active for 24 hours.

There is nothing out there for the money like Digital Ocean. That linux can be a b**** though. If you have a problem setting it up just go on fiverr for help, Cost you 90 for the year including some fiverr help

anyway with $90/month you can get a good dedicated server instead of VPS.

Try ramnode. They aren't expensive and if there is going to be downtime you'll know about it in advance. Their customer support is also really good.

There are so many hosting solutions but you have to do your research. It is important to find real user reviews. There are plenty of sites. I personally use webhostinggeeks

Good hosts can be got from legionbox.com.
Servers are well-balanced and prices are affordable.
Support is beyond praise. Support is online for 24 hours.

Definitely do your own research, like fatboy have said, hosting related forums is probably the best place to find reviews/problems regarding providers.
When you compare server features from different providers the prices are almost the same. Yes, some are much more expensive and others very cheap. But in the end, for me, the most important of all features is support. If you need help, or your server is down, or whatever you need ..you want a quick response to quickly fix the problem.

When I changed my hosting provider I mainly focused on support, how fast they are.

There are plenty of good hosts out there, just stay away from the cheap ones because the support is always cr**. Personally I am a fan of A2 Hosting and also Hostwinds as I have had good experiences with both.

I also use 1and1 and hostgator but will probably get a wave of abuse if I recommend either of those!

$90 a month?... get a dedicated server, I saw some nice ones at dacentec for 40-60 us $, 16-32GB ram. Never used them but they look nice.

Here are some that I have used with minimum problems:

1) The Prime Host - outstanding support, 24/7 live support chat
2) Future Hosting - used their VPS, again excellent support, very helpful.
3) Known Host - what I use now. These guys are THE deal! Extremely fast support (like under 2 minutes!) and insane fast network speeds. I am using their basic dedi at texas.

I am a regular on web hosting talk, so here are some other no brainer choices:
1) Wired Tree - support rocks big time
2) Liquid web - old and reliable
3) Hivelocity - again old and reliable

I'm so tired with hosting issues. I just want a fast reliable server is that too much to ask?
I already use a VPS and pay 90$ a month for hosting at "a small orange". They have great service but the server keeps crashing for hours at a time.
I don't know what to do! please help.

I would advise you to stay away from all the EIG brands of hosting companies. The moment a company turns to EIG, the entire company falls apart.

Asmallorange does have terrific support, no doubt. I use them for some shared hosting and for a smaller site that works well.

For balls to the walls sites though, I prefer to use Powerup.
