Hi guys,

I work for a company that just released a new "stocks" app for iOS and WatchOS and I'm not really sure what else to do as far as promotion. We've created a Facebook and Twitter (which we plan to put into FollowLiker), we've started to write a couple articles, and a few stocks tips (notifications. into investing advice, not actual tips) for the app. None of these methods seem to be returning any real results. Can anyone help me out? And please don't offer me a paid service because I'd like to get this done on my own; not interested in a service. All other feedback is welcome though :help:

please don't offer me a paid service

I'm not against paying, although I didn't want that to be my 1st option. I am however, against "try this program". I don't need a program and I don't need any services, I need legitimate advertising advice.

Get on forums and promote it as well. Beef up the content, maybe offer a contest of some sort?

What section would I post something of that sort on BlackHat? I don't want to be attacked for placing it where it doesn't belong...

I also works in a company which sells Micro Keylogger and other softwares, and I need to promote sales. I hope someone else can help me to promote these products. Thank you!

I dont think poster meant this forum, try relevant forums to your app

Maybe you could try these to get started ...

https://www.reddit.com/search?q=stocks
https://www.reddit.com/search?q=iOS&restrict_sr=&sort=relevance&t=all
https://www.reddit.com/search?q=watchOS&restrict_sr=&sort=relevance&t=all

I would build a microsite, go to a few of these subreddits and ask the redditors for their opinion of the app after giving them a trial version. But you would not want to get too promotional on Reddit as some of these subreddits tend to kick people out.

Treat these folks with respect, and you could end up with a lot of valuable advise - and maybe some sales too.

Post the app in the forum to promote

I'd suggest making sure your ASO is as solid as it could be. Search "ASO optimisation) and a kissmetrics article should come up which has a lot of good tips in it (sorry, I can't post links yet)
ASO is your route to organic traffic which you can benefit from long-term.

Engaging relevant communities is excellent advice which is given above, with specific reference to SubReddits and offering their mods free trials... basically, just develop these relationships in a non-spammy way.

If you have a bit of a budget to promote the app I would suggest you sort out the SDK on Facebook and promote it using Facebook ads (using App installs as the type of campaign). Facebook offers a lot of very niche targeting options and could be a good place to trial a small budget to kick things off.

I have been seeing apps get a lot of attention through facebook ads. You can make it pretty targeted as well. Especially when it comes to "interests" on facebook. Make sure the app is solid and brings actual value, and then advertise it to people whose interests include things like entrepreneurship, investing, stock market, etc.

try promoting the same on other social media platform like , youtube, tumbler, instagram etc.
