First thing first, the tier one 2.0 property:

All in all, Rankspire always does the 2.0 well. That is one of the strong suits of this seller. Content is so - so for this service, but the 2.0 is done amazingly well. A lot of 'extra' details are included (Like actual US location) which most, if not all other services look over. I even miss this detail when building my own sites. It makes it look legitimate and helps it stick around longer.
So for the tier one property:
- Content done well enough.
- Every Standard Feature for a good 2.0 included.
- 'Extra's' like 3x Images, 5x Video, Location Data ensures this property will stick around.
Next up is the redirect domain:

- Hosting Details included
- Good Stats:

For a redirect domain, which I have purchased in the market place before, this had better stats than most domains you will find. Not much else to be said about the domain. If you are in the game of SEO, you should know a 21 / 26 TF to CF is very good. 8 year aged domain is also very good. Great stats on this type of domain.
The report included the details for 20 301's as well.
Ranking? Far too soon to tell. I received the report yesterday. The 5,000 tier four links are targeting multiple KWs, so the power is diluted.
I have paid over $50 for a single redirected domain. If you want a buffer site it costs more. If you want shorteners you need to do it yourself. And 5K Contextual links will cost you a few dollars up to $20. If you did this all your self, bought a domain + hosted + Content for 2.0 + Time for images and video, you would spend more to build this set - up Rankspire is offering for $47.
No matter how you slice it, for the work put in and cost to do it yourself, this service is a steal. Unlike most services, you can't put it together by outsourcing on BHW. Another nice perk is that the 2.0 is well done and the redirect has amazing stats. Good enough stats to slap a PBN on.
If I get movement on my KWs I will report back in a few weeks. All provided KWs were medium to hard competition, so I would not be shocked if this did not do much. If it does do something wonderful, I will be hapilly surprised.

Review time - I was fortunate to get a review copy of this service and all i can say is RankSpire knows what he's doing. This is as good as it gets for the price, WP blog with 3 pages of quality content ( I'll add more gradually over time to make it stronger ) , proper images and videos in it, plus the domain itself some sellers sell for $30-40. The KW I'm targeted has low competition and is already on second page, I expect this to push it on page 1 , probably top 5, will report back in a few weeks. Overall - very good deal for mere 47 bucks

The exact process of SwitchBox SEO was not followed by sending the juice through pumpers. Instead we sent a 301 to one of our test sites ( 3-5 pages of content ), 2 months old, with just few foundation links built to it.
The interesting part was that, the domain we used for 301 was a de-indexed domain. That domain got de-indexed in early 2014 and it got expired few months back since we never bothered to renew it.
So, we went ahead and bought the domain again and sent a straight 301 to our test money site and after 2 weeks, we are seeing some good movement. This is without sending any kind of tiered links to the 301'd domain which is quite interesting.

I received my report today, and to be honest, it looks like real quality stuff. The web 2.0 as others have said is well made. The content is okay for tier 1 and the web 2.0 contains several pictures and videos, an about and a contact us page. They also added a "real" location through Google Maps making the whole thing look much more legit.
The 301 domains has these stats:
DA: 16
TF: 15
CF: 23
Total Backlinks: 63
Domain age: 7 years 10 months.
This is pretty good for a domain as you probably know. You also get the logins for the web 2.0 and for the domain.
Overall I think $47 is a bargain. Very good service, will probably be back.

Answering your specific question, we try to use domains that are close to your niche, but that's not guaranteed, simply because often we will have to run custom jobs just to deliver one order, which as you said is priced pretty low.
From what I have seen from the tests we conducted, we see very similar results for both niche relevant and regular domains. So not much to worry about here.
