Just had 1st email offering me something for a 'collaboration'

I'm sorta new to all this and it was unexpected to get an email from someone. I have a healthy food page and they're asking if I'm "interested in a potential recipe collaboration or to give us a try in your next brekkie". They've asked me to reply with my address and they'll send some "delicious packs" of their healthy food to "inspire" me. In other words they want to send to send me some healthy foods for me to take pics and shoutout them. They have a website and a smaller IG page than me so everything seems legit.

The thing is, should I tell them my home address so they can send stuff?
Plus how would I go about telling them to pay me with money and not food, in order to get a shoutout from me?

Hi Splash, I'm studying PR so I have more insight from the businesses perspective than I do from yours, so here's what the business is intending:

if they want to send you something, they probably aren't going to pay you. This is generally called blogger gifting. A business will generally send a sample of their product to you and sometimes extra for you to give away to your followers, in exchange for a 'shoutout'.

in other cases, they will just straight up pay you to feature their product on your feed. The difference is subtle, but hopefully I explained it well enough. My advice would be to just ask them what they expect you to do and determine whether you think you will benefit from this collaboration. You need to establish the parameters very clearly if you go ahead to avoid any legal or financial disputes.

I've had several companies contact me to promote their product but I kindly rejected them since i'm already doing well with my own offers/products.

IMO, it's a good opportunity if you're not generating any revenue. It could turn into something bigger in the near future. Who knows.

I would not worry about sharing your home address... I know a guy in Canada that does this all the time and with some real cool and relatively expensive products. It is all sent to his home as this is a fairly common occurrence with companies looking to trade product for, what they call in the industry, mention.

They seem pretty legit so I'll probably give them my address so I can get the gifts. If they looked dodgy I'd probably ask for money instead.

Should I wait till the stuff they send is in my hands and delivered before putting a shoutout up?

They'll expect you to take your own picture unless stated otherwise

This is so informative, thank you so much for giving an insight to the whole blogger gifting thing. I do agree that we need to establish some parameters with the 'gifter'.
