Also, how many times do you suggest a spin be used? Is there something in the software to give an indication of this? I have a pretty big set of projects coming up and will be looking to build around 50,000 backlinks a day spread over all target URLs across two tiers.

I can't recommend anything because it depends on the level of spinning and the spinner you use. If you apply paragraph + sentence + word level spinning and not caring about quality then you will have quite a lot of unique outputs.

On the other hand, if you are after quality the number of unique articles will be less and you shouldn't use sentence + heavy word-level spinning.

The recommended number of posts is there when you are posting to self-hosted blogs (the autoblogger).

In a niche like this it can generate even more. Again, it all depends on the quality you are after.

It depends on what you mean by acceptable. People are building thousands of backlinks per day, ordering thousands of unique articles per day is not a good strategy.
