Can we bank in China???

Is that an interview? Why dont you tell us what u think first :)

The article is pure distillated crap.
But the question is very interesting indeed. There are 1.5B of people in China, it's a huge market. And as it's been groving fast it can't be saturated yet.
I asked a similar question here on BHW a year or two ago, but unfortunatelly got no meaningful answers.

i guess its the same situation then as I asked about Craigs list last time... people banking too hard that they dont want to talk about it lol

Plenty of money to be made. And a good point by bartholomew. The growth is happening so fast in china that there is lots of space to plant a seed and grow it effectively.

Research and be creative with how you go about it.

Of course China is a huge market... but what the heck are you gonna sell them? Shipping anything into China is a HUGE expense. Otherwise you could dropship from China into China... but there is a BIG problem. Rich Chinese absolutely H.A.T.E. made in China goods. They are looking for made in America or Europe goods first. Otherwise you're stuck selling the reeeeealllly cheap made in China stuff for low margins.

So is any of that feasible to you? And even IF you have the $$$ to ship into China, how do you suppose to test-market what the Chinese WANT? What niche will work there?

Then how do you intend to sell to the non-English speaking Chinese? Can you find good content in Chinese?

This is an ocean of bullshit to wade through just for a SHOT at selling big. If you're gonna try it you better have time and money to waste. Honestly, I'm probably as well connected and set up to give this a shot than most around here and I'm skeptical. I'd need a sure fire idea before I'd even consider this epic gamble.

.........and oh yeah, we haven't even started talking about credit card processing, banking, and transferring funds internationally.

Also language... all the different Chinese dialects

how about selling through affiliate to china or just for the traffic sakes???

How do you promote your affiliates or products online in china?

I believe google is still being banned by china gov, do you have any experience to do seo with their local search engine?

SEO is SEO is SEO. Links will rank across any engine. The trick would just be Chinese links. And I imagine its less sensitive to spam, also probably ranks you better if you praise their fucked up leadership.

SEO aside, allow me to explain what took place procedurally --

1, an industrial zone across the river in shanghai was promoted to r&d ground earlier this year. foreign companies kay experiment a bit more and sell a bit more there
2, together with foreign 3-commerce companies being allowed to register themselves *in the zone*, some other initiatives such as xbox and playstation have appeared
3,e-commerce has always been available in china and was/is already being done by foreigners
4, only this time, they'll be allowed to register an inc at an industrial a short drive out of shanghai
