Has anyone actually made money with the eBay partner network?

I've sold stuff on a few different platforms so I'm not a super duper noob. I've driven lots and lots and lots of traffic to eBay pages. I'm talking must haves for the niche that I'm in. Never had one single sale. It's not adding up because I have people buying other offers. I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Have any of you guys made anything with eBay?

I've had the same issues. I used to mix Amazon and eBay affiliate links now only Amazon. eBay partner network has something crazy going on. It sometime goes months with no earnings than say -10 cents, even though it shows traffic. I have been playing with Aliexpress on a few test pages with good results. Amazon and aliexpress seem to be the best affiliate programs. If there are better ones I would love to know.

Glad I'm not the only one. I swear I'm making sales but they are stiffing me. Unfortunately, Amazon is not offered for residents of my state (Colorado). On top of that, my niche pretty much lives on eBay.

Something fishy is definitely going on though.

eBay was an awesome affiliate program a few years back. They paid outrageous amounts for sign ups/bids/won auctions etc. Cookie lifetime was 30 days (as well as on amazon back then).

Due to cookie stuffing (which has a huge method back then in BHW), they placed tougher restrictions on their affiliate programs.

And the owner of DP got sued by ebay after making $1million on commissions. He cs'd his own site, lol.

I use the ebay partner network on one of my sites... it is all I do to monetize that particular site and it doesn't do badly but it is nothing to write home about.

The site is nothing more than an autoblog pulling content from ebay itself so there is no work involved for me.

They pay peanuts compared to Amazon and the buyers they once had have moved to Amazon. I avoid eBay like the plague, that is until they redo their affiliate program so I can make more than Amazon...

Thousands, but virtually nothing since they changed their cookies from 7 days to 24 hours a couple of years ago. Once they made that change, revenue dropped 95% overnight.

I have a php script that I use to build a shopping site based on 4 keywords and epn. I am willing to share my script. Just PM me. I dont use it much anymore but it still makes me a few hundred a month.

If you remember the McJiffy script, its the same concept, I just wrote my own version.

Let me know if anyone wants to see it in action.

I use the easybay plugin and send lots of traffic over to ebay and had nothing, thanks to you guys on here i didn't know about the change so maybe wasting my time with them, i might go over to amazon instead. Amazon is a bit more of a pain to set up with all the different amazon sites you have to join and keep track of if you have international visitors. I had to join all but wasn't accepted into Japan- China yes but Japan no, can't work that out

Well, I am grandfathered but not eBay related, more grandson related.

To be honest, I don't pay a lot of attention to that particular site as I set it up some time ago and let it go. That is poor business management and I should get hit on the side of the head for that but I have other fish to fry that are more front burner.

BTW, I only have "impulse products" showing up and that could be why it is sort of successful.

my site has related products live auctions counting down in real time on every post, still nothing. Maybe it's to annoying, i don't know

The eBay affiliate program seems broken, and they aren't in a rush to go and fix it. Seems like I'm forced to do business with Amazon for that kind of thing. I tried recently to use the eBay affiliate network and nothing, not even my own purchase using the id (stealthed) resulted in any income.

eBay hasn't really been up to speed making their platform cutting edge, just ensure you get the rig category with them as you may end up with tracking issues due to infrastructure issues.

People on HubPages love using them, but you have to target better.

For an interest in other marketplaces just check out AliExpress or Amazon retailers.
