Rankings Drop

Hello,

I've a micro niche site which ranked #1 for around 8 months straight. The rankings have been dropping and are now steady on #18 for my three main kw's.
I don't know what to do to get it back up to #1

I'm looking for any advice. So is there anyone who can maybe look into my site?

I am aware of that but I don't know which links to buy. I hope my current link portfolio is not affecting my rankings because I haven't got the idea my purchases were wise.

Maybe in a niche where your competitors are also SEO experts. In many niches especially lower competition niches you should be able to get to #1 and stick for a very, very long time maybe back a bit but still in the top 5 during algo update season.

A lot has changed in the past 8 months and a lot of us have dropped or gained. I wouldn't blindly trust a stranger to give you the golden map for your niche.

Building more links will obviously help, check your on page as well. If you haven't done any seo for a while, and your seo wasn't rock solid in the first place, then it is not a surprise to slip back.

Maybe you can try getting the links which you have been getting to get that #1 spot?

First load all the links you have built to rank and run them in scrapebox to check if they are still live . Repeat with the tier 2 links.

You may have lost some of the links that caused you to hit and maintain that #1 spot or the sites that are now higher than you have gained ome more links.

Just start the process again that got you to #1 in the first place, good luck!

It could be temporary, if not, build more links, however, focus on quality not quantity.

A slow and gradual decline is most likely caused by a high bounce rate, rather than links.

If you have a good CTR and keep them on site, you'll rank well - even if you lose a bunch of links.

Either php closed it or a mod did due to bickering by dickheads. Still great info though.

Thank you! My bounce rate is indeed a lot higher than it just to be. I guess I should be working on my site then.

Also I have lost a bunch of links but I have bought some web 2.0's a few months ago which are gradually getting indexed.

Just continue to build some high PR backlinks and do social media marketing.You should focus on updating your website with quality content and getting authority figures in your niche to discuss and share your topic on social media.If your not do to that then your website is going to Google bot errors so take action.Like already mentioned, Google can always penalize you for something you did wrong.

I think you need to start again building link and there is a minute chance of negative SEO too
