How Many Are Upgrading to Windows 10?

certainly i am not going to change my operating system (Windows 7) any soon, i am not working for operating system i am working on internet and Win 7 is comfortable.

I'll just stick with my Windows 9. The fact that nobody knows about it just makes it more special.
On the other hand, Win7 Ultimate set to performance mode is great. I just hate firefox freezing on youtube at times on this crap old acer laptop.
 
Never ever ever will I allow that monstrosity that is Microsoft anywhere near my machines.

This is a new ploy to turn their current one off payment monetisation method into a subscription model, the same with their cloud computing rubbish.

I was offered pre release mobile version for free earlier in the year (along with all raspberry pi user's) at that stage I never realised Windows 10 was going on general release as they portrayed it as a mobile os. They still got a big Freddie from me, my feeling was that they couldn't let all those schoolies get used to debian as they might not come back to the God of Microsoft, so by offering Windows ten they were indoctrinating them early.
 
Windows 7 just works great with all the original features we love.
I hate the way they make everything mobile compatible...no matter what nothing beats the speed and comfort for me working on my desktop with a mouse...and i dont wnat to nonstop jump hoops to get to my desktop..my brother hs win8 ..i hate it.
 
Going to build a new machine, and i may try Windows 10 with it. If i don't like it, will revert back to Win7. I also want to buy a Mac OS what do you guys recommend? I'd like to have more options
 
For high end game development, I will NEED to switch to Win 10 for that PC. For my own personal preference? Windows 7 is still just as good.
 
I just seem to always notice that all high end marketers always seem to use macOS when doing presentations videos etc...more or less evrything i downloaded and watched this pattern appears..anyway i have perculiar habits when bored watching thier vids..i turn my attention to thier OS systems and what they have on em :)
 
I always wait for SP1.. Their first release is always fucked up, pretty much a beta

I beg to differ. with XP, one of the features I used daily was being able - in 3 clicks - search for "all files and folders created today"
open search
check the all files and folders box
check created today..
click search
done
I was able to dump tons of garbage that way.
Can't do that with windows 7 ult.

Another feature I miss from XP.. pick and open any file or folder without getting the message "access denied" Granted there are plenty of work arounds for all access to my own machine but geeze... how much modding I'm willing to do to be able to work on a home PC is at it's outer limit.
I'm already finding websites that are so mobile friendly designed that they're a big old PITA to use on a desktop.
 
i prefer to run windows xp because of very low ram usage. Even with 256mb ram you can run a pc fast with windows xp while in windows 8 it did nt get installed in 256 mb ram
 
I will wait till Microsoft launches Windows 10.1
