Recently google tried to buyout Twitch, but it fell through.

Now, google is making its own brand just like Twitch called Youtube Gaming.

You can see it here: https://gaming.youtube.com/coming_soon

The launch is set for this summer, and I don't know all of the details yet.

What do you guys think?

I don't consider that Twitch will be on the top all the time. Twitch is having a lot of bugs and if they don't fix it they will get smashed by YT. As well, the fact that on Twitch they non-stop repeat some commercials will make you think faster to change to another broadcaster :)

You really think YouTube Gaming will dethrone Twitch then you must be crazy. Twitch is doing amazingly, there was a huge uproar by YouTubers that use Twitch to stream, and Twitch streamers in general. These guys know YouTube will probably take a bigger cut of their revenue and be extremely strict on copyright, they were going to ban the sound from games and not allow streamers to play music.

Can't see YouTube Gaming challenging Twitch.

In the long run, if google wants to stomp twitch to the ground they can definitely do that.
Google is too powerful to contest.

Youtube gaming will probably come with youtube channel integration and will be better ranked in google, so as time goes on youtube gaming will overgrow twitch.

However, I am a twitch lover and YT gaming isnt released yet - we will see!

They have a chance to compete if they will pay more than twitch and won't add any stupid copyright rules (for livestreaming, not recorded videos).

The have to abide by copyright issues, and hands down if Twitch aka Amazon wanted to compete, Amazon can throw tons of money and promotions for even free Amazon credits to viewers and streamers. Google can throw you a Adwords coupon and a pat on the ass after they f'd it. I would like to see one Google owned product not be so out of touch with content producers, and it is not going to happen now with YouTube Gaming.

Right now Twitch is so ahead of every gaming site its ridiculous.I do love twitch but they need to stop playing the same damn commercials and ads over and over again.

Twitch has made gaming much more popular in general and I love the site! I watch tournaments on there almost every weekend.

What kind of tournaments do you have?

I'm watching all the CS:GO streams that are on Twitch, but to be fair the League of Legends stream I'm already watching on YouTube live events because of the commercials (as I said above the way of how Twitch is handeling the commercial is awful). More than that the quality of YouTube stream in the case of LOL games is way better than Twitch

Just like G+ took over other social networks... I don't think they stand a chance, unless they come up with something very different and innovative that will help gamers even more.

Ummm...Yes I want to try it.Waiting desperately for this gaming.

Youtube gaming will rule over. They have HUG budget, they will not stop before Twitch is gone.

Didn't amazon buy twitch? wont they inject money to keep google from taking over?

What's the current marketshare for each?
