Which will you choose, a mobile or a responsive theme? which is the best for SEO and for business, why?

Responsive is best in 2015. It will make it easier to rank also, as the links will come to the same page rather than two different ones, if people link to the mobile page of yours.

Google is always trying to sell the fact that "having a mobile site is SO good for you!", but it's not even that apparent at this point in time. Yeah it's going to help to stay mobile, but what if the site doesn't even work?

If you meant app Vs reponsive theme, the answer depends on what you are trying to achieve. Apps do much more than just showing a website to the user.As an example, suppose you have a website where you provide appointment to dentists. Obviously, you would need to think about notifications on the visit day. If you only have a website, you can send emails/text messages informing the user/doctor about the appointment, but if you have an app, you can notify the user through the app itself. So, it depends on what service you are trying to provide.

But websites are easier to access (Users dont have to download your app to use your service) and you also want some traffic to keep your rankings up.

I mean, instead of having another theme for mobiles, fx m.example.com (mobile theme), he could have the same theme for all devices on example.com (responsive theme) and that would be better in my opinion.

A mobile design is an ENTIRELY different design that is a one-size-fits-all site that is triggered when a user hits your site via a mobile device. These often have domains that redirect like m.site.com instead of the desktop site.com.

Responsive designs redesign the ENTIRE site so that it has different CSS rules and other HTML outputs that get delivered based on browser-based device detection (far more accurate). This changes the site NOT based on a yes/no mobile/not rule, but based on screen resolution and size. So it looks different on a phablet, vs a small phone, vs a large tablet, vs whatever.

Which is better? That should be obvious. The question is how many of you can pull off a responsive redesign of your sites...
